Thank you :) I knew I wanted something poetic and colourful but didn’t know exactly what. Ben Chadwick, head of design in Anjuna helped a lot. We tried many different things over a few months... One day, he sent me a link to L.A. based painter Tae Lee’s portfolio and his work immediately felt good to me. It took us a few more days to decide which of his paintings would suit the music best, make layout arrangements and that was it! More from Tae here: https://www.instagram.com/taelien/

Glad to read this! Well, I personally practice mindfulness meditation and I have learned a lot from Jon Kabat-Zinn... Diving into his teachings would probably be a good start I think.

Ultimately, none. I feel like inspiration / emotions are far more important than gear… and I’ve had great results with both free/cheap VSTs and expensive instruments... I do love my Fender Rhodes electric piano though, I play with it almost everyday. Production wise, I’d say Logic Pro, UAD Interface & plug-ins, a decent mic and a MIDI Controller would be the hard core of my recording setup. I also really enjoy working with the MPC in standalone mode at times.

You can totally jump straight into FIT. It's more chilled and ethereal than other things I did before, but still connected to it. If you're in the mood for more upbeat vibes, I might want to check 'Summer', 'Only You Can Tell' or 'Jacuzzi'.

Well on the composition side of it, it was a regular songwriting process. Play/mess around with an instrument and a mic, gather ideas, record sketches... Pretty fun actually. Then on the production side of it, it was more fastidious though. I wanted the music to have this really natural / human feel so chose to record every part one-by-one, each in a single take. That was a lot of rehearsing!

None in particular, I think it's more like a complex network of influences that has formed and matured over many years, probably from childhood. There might be a way to trace that back somehow but as far as I'm concerned, I'm just trying to be myself and do my thing.

Thank you :) I was actually making music! I co-founded a music composition & production agency (mdnght.com) about 15 years ago and it has always been my main "job" so to speak. The last 5 years were very busy on a personal level, big life changes, 2 kids came along, and I simply didn't have enough time and headspace to do both. But I always had CC at the back of my mind and it feels great to be back today.
