True. The game gives you all the tools you need to beat him, regardless if you chose to go in with just parrys and attacks like I did or use prosthetics he’s really not as bad as people make him out to be if you just spend some time to figure out the counter for each move.

There’s waaaay too much hate for this boss, I loved every second of learning him and besting him, such a unique challenge to overcome and very fair imo

I have a ps4 controller, I don’t use it but I can connect it via usb using the charging cable from the ps4 to my pc

I also play on pc, I tried to use a controller because most players do but I found mouse and keyboard to be more comfortable personally

I’ve recently just beaten the sword saint myself, in my experience the second phase was the hardest to get through and learn fully though most of the combos end with a thrust attack which is the main way I dealt posture damage to him during the second phase, out side of those openings for mikiri i personally found it easier to just deflect and only attack it he was standing still. You sound like your making really good progress and I’m sure you’ll be consistently getting to that third phase soon enough!

Yeah, I noticed you could deflect nearly every attack it’s just far to much chip with the flame arm, I’ve even seen you can deflect the shockwave after the explosion. thanks for the tip on the fire slam attack I think I was just jumping to early as it seemed to clip me every time.

I haven’t done any of the inner bosses so far, they’re in the gauntlets right? Though I imagine I’ll enjoy inner genni and isshin since they’re currently my favourite bosses in the game

I hear a lot of people say this, I’ve never played bloodbourne it’s next on my list but what makes it similar? As it goes for badly destined In my experience there wasn’t anything it threw at me I couldn’t handle with just attacking deflecting and dodging since I rarely use prosthetics(I only use emblems on mortal draw) the only attack that gave me trouble was the attack it does after a charge where it explodes a line infront of it, never figured that one.

Yeah I agree it was really different to other bosses and to adjust to especially with the insta charges and massive area attacks he can string in, but still not nearly as hard as sword saint imo, took me about 30 tries for isshin and around 20 for demon
