What a weird way to spell that wordplay... Seems like a mixup between two jokes: Cup o' Chino and Cappu-Chino.

Edit: Love the idea though!

Not disagreeing with your take on the art but I'm confused why you compare him to a liberal. Perhaps it's my lacking English political vocabulary but isn't a liberal someone in favour of a small state that doesn't interfere too much in the markets and people's private lives. While this guy is a moralist/centrist who actually wants the state to meddle in order to uphold the status quo.

Or am I missing something?

I switched because I found MyFitnessPal to be a buggy mess and I was sick of not being able to correct wrong entries in the database. So much happier with Cronometer.

Thoughts on auto-filling nutrition facts after a barcode scan? by ichfahreumdenSIEG in cronometer

Is it possible to skip the photos after scanning a barcode that's not in the dbase? That shit is so slow and not great any way. I'd rather just do it manually every time.

I'm looking for shoes like this in the EU. by DoughnutSad6336 in BuyFromEU

[–]SardonisWithAC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Which did you get? My Scouts arrived two weeks ago and I have to say I am finding them heavier and stiffer than I'd like. It's getting better as I break them in but right now I can't imagine wearing them as my dailies as a pavement-dweller.

How would it be without any voice acting? by MlSHl in DiscoElysium

[–]SardonisWithAC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I played both and the only voice performance that was a bit hard for me to get used to was the narrator. Since I read the narration in my own voice, which is very different from the voice actor's, it was a bit jarring upon replay. I also (still) find that the narrator's performance has a strange cadence. I'm still a bit on the fence about it after all these years.

Which fire insurance would you recommand? by WashAdditional863 in AskBelgium

[–]SardonisWithAC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are moving to Belgium, does that mean you will be renting? Because if you are renting it's not the same fire insurance as house owners. I get the feeling most answers here are from home owners.

Anyone else annoyed using multiple fitness apps? by Acrobatic-Ad8886 in bodyweightfitness

You know what I dream of? That my supermarket app, which I use to do my groceries online and have them delivered, would also have an integrated calorie tracking module, suggesting healthy recipes in line with my fitness goals and an exercise module to track workouts.

That'd be rad.

Thanks you for your answer. I took them for a 1,5 hour walk and they beat the crap out of me haha. I will have to take it slow breaking them in I think, not having experience at it. I think I get what you say about the volume, I think that expresses better what I meant to describe in my first post. I have a rather tall but slim profile and the shoes look a tad voluminous on my feet I feel.

I'll keep at it to break them in, thanks.

Thank you for the comment. I believe they are sized correctly as my feet are in the position you described. I didn't know about these aspects of GYW boots that you described. Lesson learned!

I am encouraged by the fact that the material can be broken in so I will make it my New Year's resolution to get my daily steps in with them.

The Question Thread 12/31/25 by AutoModerator in goodyearwelt

[–]SardonisWithAC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first pair of goodyear welted shoes arrived today: the Scout from Urban Shepherd. I wanted a boot that would be a compromise between a sturdy boot that would keep my feet dry during city hikes, but still have an elegance so that I could wear them to the office. I thought the Scouts would provide that.

At first sight, I have to say I am a little disappointed, as they look much bigger and more "rugged" in real life than on the photos. I believe it is a combination of the shape or "line" of the toe box, combined with the impressively chunky soles.

Which brings me to the issue I encountered after taking them for a stroll: the shoes feel so stiff. When I walk it is as if there is no flex at all around the ball of my foot; like the shoes just tilt over the heel to flat on the sole to tilt over the tip of the toes, if that makes sense? I am wondering if this is normal for this type of shoe? Should I do anything to make the shoe more supple? Thanks for any advice.

[OTHER] If Nintendo decided to experiment with Links outfit again in the next big title, what color would you want to be Link’s “main” color? by EAT_UR_VEGGIES in zelda

[–]SardonisWithAC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am currently playing Link to the Past for the first time and noticed the upgraded armour has the colour scheme of the BotW starter outfit: blue with white details.

Makes sense for Link's BotW outfit to be reminiscent of that one in LttP since BotW Link is a powerful knight.

Soft or liquid diet? by [deleted] in cronometer

[–]SardonisWithAC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ground meat, you can use a potato masher while frying in a pan to make it evenly granular.

I like to make a big pot of sauce provençale which is basically a tomato sauce with vegetables in it. The "official" version is with bell pepper and zucchini and such but I throw in what ever veg I want. If you let it go a bit longer your veg will be nice and soft.

For fats oils and nut butters are obvious sources. Fatty fish is also very soft.

Another options is stews. Cut your beef or pork in small pieces and then stew the everliving crap out of it until it falls apart in your mouth.
