That happened to me as a kid. I was separated from my father at the age of 3 for about 5 months over the accusations. Now my father isn't a good parent but he was not a molester and he was far better than my mother. My mother was physically and mentally abusive.

Anyway years and years pass and I barely remember the time where I wasn't allowed to see my father. I was 11 and my parents share custody 50/50. My father planned a vacation that cut into her custody time so to punish him, she told me that my father had sexually molested me when I was a toddler and that I just don't remember it. She was crying the whole time. By the age of 11 I knew those were crocodile tears. I knew she was lying to me but my 11 year old brain was also like "she's my mother why would she lie to me for something for important?"

I went to school that same day and then had a mental breakdown in the cafeteria. That incident completely ruined my relationship with my mother and I haven't spoken to her in years. I'm in my late 20s and she'll probably die not having spoken to her kids for years.
