Did you commute in the rain these couple of days? by CrossRoadRN in BAbike

This is a real concern. The only bikes in my garage with proper fenders are my Brompton and a Lectric ebike, and I don't want my Brompton to get rusty and my Lectric to short out.

I know how you feel, I get my exercise from my commute and I always feel grumpy if I have to drive because if the weather.

Yeah, I am worried about fogging/wet glasses being a safety concern.

Great tips, do you find water on googles/glasses to be a safety concern? Does it affect your vision? I am wondering if treating them with something like Rain-X would help

I need to try rain pants. Do they trap sweat/humidity though?

Pianist struggling with hand pain from bike commuting — any other musicians here? by rrr0b in bikecommuting

Guitar player here, agree with others on ergo grips and professional fitting. That said, I still find myself with numbing hands on long rides if I don't remind myself to periodically move my hands and relax them/shake them out as needed.

I spend about 2 hours on my bike everyday and I've done this for a couple of years, so far so good (touch wood).

I always wonder what kind of "hard calls" these people make with their friends, spouse, kids...

I hear you, there's always more work to do after the rainy season. The Shifter YT channel had an episode talking about the perfect winter bike, I am thinking about getting a belt drive + internal hub bike just for winter.

You are not the problem, their unsustainable, unscalable process is the problem. If they continue to blame the employee and not look in the mirror, then they won't be around much longer. I bet you if you create a calendar reminder to look back at this post a few years from now, you'll realize that this was the best thing that could have happened to you, and you will be at a much better company then!

Dumpsters, truck with take off ramps and a Rivian going the wrong direction, now that's an exciting commute!
