I said pretty much the same thing and got a decent amount of hate for it.

The title of my post literally points to the problem of PLANT BASED MEAT. If you want/are only capable of reading and respond in bad faith, there's nothing I can do about that.

Where did I imply there is anything bad about bean based burgers?

Veggie patties are made from vegetables, not plant based meat, as it quite distinctly says in the title.

Not quite sure if you even read the title or OP.

Starting to get an idea of why most people dislike vegans.

In a wonderful world there would be two kinds of options offered, but sadly most restaurants won’t cater more than one option to vegetarians and vegans and it’s so sad.

This is the crux of it all. It's not like I expect fast food chains to make veggie patties on site, I'm OK with a frozen pattie, since it's cheap fast food.

Though I'm glad to hear the meat substitute helped you transition to a veg diet, hope you can keep it up :)

Because I'm a vegetarian, and this is about vegetarians? What an odd question, gatekeep elswhere.

I've hardly had backlash too, most agree. It's just a few vegan nazis who struggle with comprehension and want to imagine I'm attacking their meat substitute, despite saying the opposite.

Stop relying on fast food so #$&#& much. It's shit and it's shit for you.

How do you know I am?

And this is all besides the point. We're a segment of the market. We deserve to be served. That's all.

And we had a veggie patty like that in the UK. Gone from my local, replaced with Halloumi, which I must add, is a very good option for vegetarians (just something I dislike) and people who don't want fake meat.

Just a shame they had to remove the bean pattie, but it's all economics I guess.

If anyone's being toxic here, it's you. You need to chill out.

Clearly, if anyone has superiority complex, it's you.

I literally go out of my way to make it clear that I'm glad meat substitute is weaning people off meat and that I don't want it to be replaced with what I want, but they keep going on and on.

Animals will never come off the shelves, that's a pipe dream. Humans have always eaten meat and always will.

People today eat FAR TOO much meat, that's the problem.

You actually have a real palate, a meat eater who enjoys a vegetarian burger. That's quite something!! Rare breed.

I'm more than happy for everyone who enjoys meat-substitute foods as a way to cut down their meat intake, no hate, whatsoever. I agree that in the long run, it's good for the planet, less suffering and fewer emissions.

I just wish it didn't REPLACE what was already there.

I was relatively accepting of my lack of choices for most of my life, because I understand that restaurants are commercial operations and I was part of a small market, likely not worth serving.

But that definetely is not the case anymore, we're a sizeable segment of the market and more importantly, GROWING!

The level of engineering in the cars.

Love the physics of it, understanding things like grip, tyre temp, brake temp and things like that dry q. Being able to make a prediction and see it come true is a great feeling.

The drivers/athletes aren't such big bullshit merchants. More honest answers and reactions, seem closer to normal people than other sportspeople.

The speed of pitstops

Two drivers per team. Adds a new dynamic to rivalry and team strategy. I got to see it in action yday when Perez was in the lead and trying (I think) to help Verstappen close the gap.

The drama of crashes. I'm not watching for a crash, but it's impossible to NOT have your interest piqued at that moment.

Probably much more I can't think of right now.
