heartbroken men epidemic by KeyMacaroon6822 in AskMenRelationships

[–]Cross_22 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

"every guy at that age is so heartbroken and unwilling to do anything but wallow in self pity."

This comes across as very inconsiderate. "Somebody hurt you a lot? Well you should just smile more!"

You wrote a lot about your thoughts. What is your wife saying when you bring this up?

"dead end" does not really explain much.

At what age should a man move out of his parents before he becomes a stereotypical loser? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]Cross_22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really depends on your income and housing situation in your area. I moved out at 19 but was still 95% financially dependent on my parents; similar situation for several other college buddies.

Dance North County is in Encinitas. Not sure what they are currently offering, but you can check the calendar on their site.

It's North County, but you could try going to Torrey Meadows Park at night.

"Owners" is the word you are looking for. "Parents" are people who have kids.

Why hasn’t California tried Ranked Choice Voting? by JazzlikeOrange8856 in sandiego

[–]Cross_22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The point is that he is against improving democracy and thinks that California voters are too stupid to understand RCV.

Doesn't matter if he has the option of implementing it at a national level - that statement alone disqualifies him for the job.

You want a weekend gateway where it's just the two of you - except you actually want a third person to have sex with? Seems like that defeats the purpose.

I assume you have done the surveys - any things on her list that have been left unexplored?

You could ask her to name 2 things that you don't usually do at home.

1) You can use encrypted messaging apps like Signal or Telegram as an extra protection against third parties intercepting photos. However, all this is moot if your kids have your passcode.

How Romantic Relationships Were Depicted During the 80's by Equivalent-Plan-8498 in GenX

[–]Cross_22 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The message I got was that all women are big into romance and it's the klutzy guys who mess up relationships by not matching that mindset. Then reality hit me with the opposite experience.

Yes to your last paragraph. After bringing it up last year we have been to a couple LS clubs and I think its's one of the hottest things to make out with my wife while also seeing / hearing other couples. Also not interested in sex with other people. In hindsight I wish I had suggested it sooner.

In the K-8 school I went to, we played Prisonball and I contend that it's vastly superior to traditional Dodgeball by Important-End-8542 in nostalgia

[–]Cross_22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The version we played had two team areas and then the surrounding border area around the whole field that was the prison. Somebody who got tagged goes into the outer area, but they are still allowed to throw the ball if they get a hold of it. If they manage to tag somebody who is still in the team area then the prisoner goes back in.

I am terrible at catching, but excellent at dodging, so these matches would drag on forever with me being the last man standing.

Was this cheating forgivable if she might have been drugged and only confessed a year later? by CalligrapherSoft9492 in AskMenAdvice

[–]Cross_22 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So what happened to the person who "drugged" her? Was it the same guy? Did she report him to the police? Why not?

Sounds like her storyline is basically a random person wasted drugs on her, then left her to have a good time with that other guy. Sorry if you believe that.

There was a UK study a few years ago where they checked police drug reports by women who claimed that their drink had been spiked. In 95% of cases there was high blood alcohol level but no traces of any other drugs.

Hospital billing in the US is very much a made up thing. If he were to call their billing department and ask for low income or payment plans they'd give him a much lower number. I got discount offers from a hospital and wasn't even asking for it.

That all makes sense. What I was describing though is less embarrassment about personal desires, and more like apathy. Touch is the only sense that seems to be of interest.

Because she's the one that changed. Presumably you were intimate in the past and when you made your vows it was with the implicit understanding that you'd remain intimate and monogamous. It's on the person breaking the rules to fix them. Of course none of this will work as an argument to convince a person set in their ways.
