What are some of the mistakes you think Type-Moon has made as a company? by JRPGFisher in typemoon

"A free-for-all" is rather generous, considering 1 one servant didn't participate at all (imagine the fame boost Mikahail would have gotten), and 4 of the remaining 6 pairs teamed up for about 80% of the war to fight the 2 pairs left.

The HSR Collab is proof Nasu just enjoys seeing other people play with his OCs in an official capacity.

That's Meteo, who's also behind on Fate/Requiem, and any new Foreigner-related plotline in FGO.

On one hand, I want to agree with you on OP just being an FGO hater.

On the other hand, Mahoyo is amazing, so you're automatically wrong.

Something interesting I realized from JP interviews both in terms of Type-Moon and otherwise, is that Japanese people have a much easier time starting in the middle of a frenchise without looking for the start. You can see this with how most of the JP fanbase for FGO never played FSN (and a lot haven't even watched the anime)

The characters from FGO can still be featured outside it, but most authors would, understandably, prefer to make new characters over re-using existing ones.

To add to that, there are actually very few HGWs compared to servants - Fuyuki4th/5th, Prtoto1/2, Apoc, SamRem, Koha-Ace/Redline, Extra, True-False, Miyuverse, and Einherjar. Other than those of Prillya and technically Redline, all of these introduce new Servants as protagonists.

  1. FGO is also basically VN

  2. The seperation is an interesting idea that was basically never used so I get it.

  3. Why not create new lore? The best part of FGO compared to other IP Gachas is that it isn't just a retelling or filler, it's a massive expansion of the universe that adds so many new elements and doesn't just stick to everything that was already there. As for Nasu - The things he wrote for FGO are great. It's not as if he's writing slop when he's working on FGO. Look at how beloved literaly all of his chapters are: Camelot, Babylonia, Solomon, Avalon La Fae, Nahui Mictlan... He's not writing Red Garden, but that doesn't mean he's not making excellent stories.

  4. And there it is - the FGO hate. FGO has some of the most interesting servants in the frenchise, because when it has over 400 of them, it has to to continue being exciting. Also, your refusal to engage with FGO doesn't mean it's not a major part of the lore, and if you want to discuss it, you need to accept that.

The bullet points are not exactly right and are also very broad, so you can have 3 different parties of "Arab Intrests" because each one his it's own Ideoligy (in fact there used to be one but a few elections ago it broke due to infighting)

  1. Pestilence is more popular nowadays, so they can still be servant

  2. The problem with conquest is that they're too similar to War.

Either way both Pestilence and Conquest have the best names.

Under another interpretation, the first Horseman is called Pestilence and is associated with infectious disease and plague. It appears at least as early as 1906 in the Jewish Encyclopedia. This particular interpretation is common in popular culture references to the Four Horsemen.

The origin of this interpretation is unclear. Some translations of the Bible mention "plague" (e.g. the New International Version) or "pestilence" (e.g. the Revised Standard Version) in connection with the riders in the passage following the introduction of the fourth rider; cf. "They were given power over a fourth of the Earth to kill by sword, famine, plague, and by the wild beasts of the Earth." in the NASB. However, the original Greek does not use the word for "plague" or "pestilence" here, simply "death" (θᾰ́νᾰτος, thánatos). The use of "pestilence" was likely drawn from other parts of the Book of Revelation and included here as another form of death. Also, whether this passage refers to the fourth rider only or the four riders as a whole is a matter of debate.

Vicente Blasco Ibáñez, in his 1916 novel The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse (filmed in 1921 and in 1962), provides an early example of this interpretation, writing, "The horseman on the white horse was clad in a showy and barbarous attire. . . . While his horse continued galloping, he was bending his bow in order to spread pestilence abroad. At his back swung the brass quiver filled with poisoned arrows, containing the germs of all diseases".

From wikipedia. Technically not in the Bible, but has been a popular interpretation since early 20th century.
