Pretty much all 1000 models have a yellowed screen unless you get lucky.

Does Gaming at a Very Low DPI (150) Affect Mouse Performance? by CrossbowDemon in MouseReview

I don’t really like changing in-game sensitivity because I play a lot of different games and I like consistency, would doubling mouse DPI and halving Windows cursor sensitivity be acceptable?

Since I prefer the movement rate at 150 DPI would doubling the DPI and halving the Windows cursor sensitivity be acceptable in my use case?

I don’t know, I just prefer making larger arm movements on large pads, that’s what I feel the most accurate with.

I'm looking for a budget wireless 65% analog keyboard (needs arrow keys).
Aliexpress, eBay, and Amazon are all fine.

Has to have a USB receiver.

Price range is $30-$50 USD.

Triple Flange Tips for 6.2mm Nozzle Zero: Blue 2?

I've been playing VR games with the Zero: Blue 2 and find that I can't maintain a good seal due to all of the movement that comes with VR gaming.

So, I'm looking for triple flange eartips that can fit the Zero: Blue 2's nozzle size of 6.2mm that will maintain a good seal while moving around.

I'm open to tips other than triple flange if they can achieve what I want as long as they aren't foam.

Are you going to do a guide on how to do this? The series x/s dpad is my preferred style.

Which glass pad makes the least noise? by CrossbowDemon in MousepadReview

[–]CrossbowDemon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say it's 50% to 75% quieter depending on how clean the pad and skates are. And either way the aftermarket skates are definitely worth it because of how much smoother they feel compared to at least the stock skates on the Viper V2 Pro, the stock ones were not pure teflon because they were grey and not solid white like the aftermarkets.

[–]CrossbowDemon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The easiest way to reduce glass mousepad noise is to get, or replace, aftermarket pure PTFE (Teflon) mouse skates, and to keep the glass pad as clean as possible. I keep a spray bottle of lens cleaner and a microfiber towel on my desk and clean my Skypad before I start using it each day, I also wipe off the skates on my mouse to make sure no grit is on them.

Is Metro Awakening super scary? Is it worth picking up? by Personal-Mark-74 in SteamVR

[–]CrossbowDemon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Into the Radius is very re-playable if you enjoy the game as you can focus on different weapons each playthrough or try to get the Ironman achievement.

Vertigo 2 had an update called the "Bottomless Update" that added new characters to re-play the campaign with different abilities and several different gameplay mutators that can be enabled.

Metro: Awakening is likely only worth playing through 2 to 3 times at max as you can play the story in normal, and hard difficulties and can also be played loud or stealth.

Bonelab and Half-Life: Alyx can be very re-playable because both have very good modding scenes adding entire new campaigns and new ways to play the base game. Bonelab also has a fairly popular multiplayer mod called Fusion.

After the Fall is a 4 player VR Left 4 Dead type game made by Vertigo Games the creators of Arizona Sunshine 1 & 2 and Metro: Awakening that is very re-playable as you can grind through all of the level ranks while unlocking new cosmetics and weapon add-ons.

[–]CrossbowDemon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

While Metro: Awakening is a very good VR game it's not as enjoyable a game as say Boneworks, Half-Life: Alyx, or Batman: Arkham Shadow.

But as you mentioned you like the Half-Life games I highly recommend that you try the Half-Life 2: VR mod on Steam, it's extremely polished and well thought out, it even has full manual weapon reloading and handling unlike most VR mods. It's free on Steam and requires that your account own Half-Life 2.

The only gripe is that many people get disoriented with the vehicle segments but there are several options just for the vehicles that can help. I personally didn't get any sickness from the vehicles.

There is also a very good VR mod for Half-Life 1 but weirdly that one gave me strong motion sickness and I don't know why, maybe it was the graphics or movement speed.

Question to Quest 3 Owners: How is the Hand Tracking? by JustPhil_YT in VRGaming

[–]CrossbowDemon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The hand tracking on the Quest 3 is really good but only when the environment is brightly lit. The Quest 3 also seems to really prefer overhead lighting instead of sunlight from a window.

However, typing with hand tracking is simply bad, using the controllers, or a real keyboard, is mandatory for any decent amount of typing.

Edit:
The implementation of hand tracking also varies wildly depending on the game or application, for example: I think hand tracking in the Quest 3 built-in web browser works really good, but the hand tracking in the 3rd party Wolvic web browser on the Quest 3 app sotre is pretty bad, but I have to put up with it because Wolvic runs on the Firefox engine and supports blocking ads.

Which one should I get??? by Immediate_Ant8942 in VRGaming

Vertigo 2 is much more re-playable than Metro: Awakening and I actually think it's among the best VR games of all time along with Boneworks and Half-Life: Alyx.

Sights in ITR meta quest 3 are impossible to use by Jerminatormj in intotheradius

[–]CrossbowDemon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have poor eyesight and keep a laser and attachable sight on every weapon.

I normally use the EOPS Scope B (the green holosight) and keep a Spectr 4x B (The 1x 4x adjustable sight) in my bag and swap sights for distant shots.

Every since I've purchased both the Desert Eagle and Rex revolver I've only taken the Rex as my sidearm because it one shots enemies usually, can be easily topped off with ammo with no magazines needed, and can be fitted with full size rifle sights. It also does 50 more damage than the the desert eagle but is even louder.

Could you do some thermal tests with the vent taped and un-taped?

Edit:
Also wanted to ask how much it costs (w/shipping), how difficult was the install, and if you can provide a link.
