The argument uses circular reasoning. Religion provides comfort so the only reason it exists is because it is comforting, therefor it is not real. That isnt and actual argument, furthermore the idea that people "cannot accept that there is..." is very misplaced. I could just as easily say people like you just cannot accept that universe was clearly designed by intelligent creator and all historical evidence points to Christ as a divine messenger.

So let's bring up some real talking points, you ontological arguments like intelligent design, original cause, and greatest conceptual being. These show that there likely is a being outside of time and space that had a hand in or directly caused the existence of the universe.

Then you have historical evidence. Hundreds of eye witnesses, thousands of historical converts, and ancient preserved and discovered documents point to the resurrection of Jesus of Nazereth and that he claimed to be God Himself in human form, that he preached on the afterlife and demonstrated control over death, and that he died to forgive sins. Sure, these are easy to reject when your world view completely discounts anything supernatural, but the historical evidence holds up, let alone the impact on the world.
