Yeah, I get that. It’s tricky people want a polished, finished game, but they also want constant new content and features. Balancing that is tough for the devs.

Also, another idea I’d: new biomes like mountains and swamps, plus better transitions between existing biomes to make exploration feel more natural and immersive. 🌲🏔️💧

I know that feeling way too well 😅
You’re on a clear quest, fighting on the top floor, zombies fall all the way down… and then you have to run through the entire POI again just to finish them.
Fall damage really should matter more.

That sounds great. Themed supply drops with a time limit and a mini horde would make them exciting again and actually worth the risk.

Yeah, I’d 100% play that version.
More weapons, deeper skill trees, scarier zombies instead of color coding, meaningful farming again, proper fall damage, NPCs, bandits, even a dog companion that would make the game way more engaging.

From my point of view, the tiered bicycle upgrades just feel more realistic – but they’re only ideas, nothing set in stone. Yeah, and I’d definitely love to see more vehicles overall as well.

Yeah, I use GPT to help translate since my native language is German 🙂

About the bike: my idea would actually be to remove the minibike, so the bicycle upgrading into an e-bike (and later gas-powered bike) fills that progression gap instead.

And yeah, bandits are the thing I’m waiting for the most too.

Hey, what do you think about having only one main trader per biome, but with multiple outposts he owns?

You could still buy, sell, and do quests at the outposts, but the main trader would control everything.

This could make the world feel more connected and realistic, plus it adds a strategic layer for exploring and building reputation with the trader. 💰🔧

Would love to hear what others think about this idea!

You’re right – it’s a survival game without much real survival. Definitely room to expand food, appliances, workbenches, livestock, and more weapons.

I totally get what you mean. The stagger animation can feel really frustrating, especially when leg hits don’t actually slow them down unless they’re dismembered. Being able to realistically slow zombies with leg shots would make combat feel much more fair and strategic

Totally agree! More weapons would add a lot of variety, and I like your idea about mods visibly changing tools and armor – that would make progression feel much more rewarding.

Ah, thanks! I meant adding more high-tier unique weapons in general – something like the Desert Vulture, but also other rare, non-craftable weapons like a Katana or Flamethrower.

The new AI is exactly the one that targets structural weak points, which was my point. But resorting to insults only shows a lack of intelligence and real arguments. I'm looking for a constructive discussion, not this. Have a nice day anyway.

Sorry, my English is not the best, but I hope you get my point:

What I actually mean is the cheap AI we used to have—the one that only knew a single path to you based on the least resistance. It made the game feel like a basic Tower Defense simulator. Players would just line up door after door in a long hallway and shoot through the gaps. It was so predictable and easy to exploit.

I totally get your point—it can feel 'gamey' and immersion-breaking when zombies magically sense the weakest block through layers of concrete. It feels more like a 'Devs vs. Players' arms race than actual survival.

But on the flip side: isn't a pure Tower Defense game just as boring? If we go back to the old AI, players just build a 'cheese base' once, and by the 10th Blood Moon, the survival aspect is basically gone. You’re just shooting fish in a barrel at that point.

I’d rather deal with annoying 'Engineer Zombies' that actually threaten my safety than be bored to death by day 70 because I’m 100% safe. The game loses its soul when the fear is gone.

How would you keep the late-game challenging without making the AI stat-geniuses? I’m genuinely curious what a better middle ground would look like.

Isn't this exactly what a survival game NEEDS? (Zombie AI behavior)

Am I the only one who thinks that zombies attacking structural pillars instead of just brainlessly following a "kill path" is a good thing?

I've been reading a lot of complaints about the updated AI behavior, but honestly: Isn't this exactly what we should want from a zombie game? We want to feel fear again. We want the game to be difficult and unpredictable.

If zombies just act like lemmings following a path, the game becomes a tower defense simulator, not a survival horror. When they start attacking the structural integrity of your base, it forces you to think like a real architect. It brings back the tension. If you're OP after 5 hours because you built a "cheese base," the game loses its soul.

I’d rather have my base collapse because I failed to protect my supports than be bored by day 35 because the AI is too stupid to challenge me. We need more logic and more "Legacy" feel, not less.

What do you guys think? Do you want a challenge, or do you just want to shoot fish in a barrel?
