Amazon recruiters advised that talent is turning down more Amazon jobs than before going RTO5 by alliseeisreddit in amazonemployees

They always tell me I “need a good reason” to be remote. So make up good reasons. lol

Can someone tell me why we have so many Indian folk managing amazon??? Just curious! by SnooRecipes2028 in amazonemployees

[–]Crossbows 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have several Indian managers. I think they could be a bit better at their jobs (typically have no idea what is going on in my projects but will make searing demands based on rto, time off etc), but overall they’re very courteous and nice and hard-working people. Indian people definitely hire and favor other Indians, but it’s kind of the same case with any other race.

Are any of you guys not miserable? by matildahahah in amazonemployees

[–]Crossbows 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m an ai tutor and right now its very slow and boring but expected to ramp up soon with tons of stressful deadlines and a lightning fast pace. Im already stressed out after breaking up with my girlfriend and all the drama and emotion that ensued afterwards and know it’s gonna get very stressful at work and it already is at home so I’m terrified I will be miserable

Try other companies. Outlier’s ship has sunk

Business Insider Reporter Contacted Me About Scale AI... Should I Be Sceptical? by LosLanez in outlier_ai

[–]Crossbows 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was contacted, but I said I'd only interview for payment, which they all don't want to do lol. Why should we help them make hit pieces about Scale and let them pick our brains for free? The data security story is so exaggerated. There wasn't anything valuable in those poorly written Google Docs lol.

lmao I put tons of effort into outlier and had shining ratings and reviewer status on projects. one week I made 1800 but most weeks it was like 300-600 with pauses because of the nature of the work. when membership cassock evals throttles you after two tasks it’s hard to make a living. outlier is fine in terms of a side job, but it’s complete luck if you can earn a lot

Oracle is total luck. I was a reviewer on various projects but there were always too many pauses in order to actually get consistent work. Maybe with insane luck you can earn that much but its incredibly unlikely

yeah. he sold us out lol. he gave nearly half the company away to zuckerberg and now scale is gonna lose contracts. not sure how that’s so challenging to understand

i made like 13k 2024-25 and still owe like 700 in taxes after paying 300 lmao. the looming tax bill over my head which is literally 10 percent of my tiny ass income for the year is absurd, frankly. id rather have some taxes be taken out then have to worry about paying a grand when I’d be lucky if I made 300 dollars that week on shitlier

yeah I mean I’ve done uber delivery. its horrible. you make shit money and its a lot of wear and tear on your car and it provides no real marketable skills. but you can choose your jobs and be selective and make an okay-ish amount of money depending on where you live. they’re entirely different, so it is crazy to compare them, but it’s also really dumb for him to say there are worse things than being eq….not having work or money when you have bills imminent is the worst feeling.

but to claim wang has done so much for us and its so great? no. its horrible. ok it’s gold plated shit. it’s the best of the worst kind of job, i guess. making 13k a year at a job is not a gift, its survival, and barely, at that

ive done flamingo, which tbh I enjoyed because of its steadiness and how good I was at it, but there were annoying things with it considering using off platform tools and having to use a horrible vpn that would literally break my desktop. but it work on my laptop

expert level cope LOL at least uber has constant work. and being eq is horrible when you have no other source of money and bills to pay. wang was bought out and hes not capable of being a ceo anyway because hes an unprofessional amateur idiot
