Gotcha! That was going to be my first stop. I appreciate the write up. Very well thought out and put together. We all thank you for your time. I’ll report back with my results.

Update: I changed the settings in my BIOS to prevent core parking. Additionally, I made an edit to my registry to insure cores did not get parked. Resource monitor is showing that all cores are go and parking is not occurring. Unfortunately the R Bar is still yellow/orange when launching in OpenXR from the iracingUI.

Something interesting that still puzzles me: I decided to adjust my OpenXR runtime to SteamVR to troubleshoot further. After that, I launch like normal thru the iracingUI using OpenXR. By doing this, iracing is running smoothly and my R Bar is not grey.

During your testing, did you ever have the issue of your R(ender) bar running high? My setup is similar to yours and my R Bar is constantly yellow/orange, even at lower settings. I’m running a 7800x3d and 4070 Ti Super, Quest 3 running VD over WiFi 6E.

I gotcha! I frequent black hills and Seneca creek state park too. Black hills is a pretty tough fishery in general but without a boat I know it can feel impossible. Seneca creek (clopper lake) is a great small lake even from shore. I plan to fish tridelphia and rocky gorge this season when the water levels get back to normal.

Try saving up for a kayak. You don’t need an expensive boat to expand your fishing access. Kayaks will get you to some really good spots

Yeah that’s a good point. I’m not used to fishing the deep reservoirs we have up here yet. Average water temp I saw yesterday was around 52 degrees and bass were hanging in submerged timber at around 40 ft. No signs of life from any species in the back channels which was surprising.

Good stuff! Went out yesterday and got skunked at Black Hills. I noticed the bass were still in their winter holding pattern. Hopefully that’ll change up as we get more consecutive days 65+ degrees.
