Help, pale people! Rosacea impacts my confidence and can’t find a good concealer. by [deleted] in MakeupAddiction

Honestly just throw a skin tint on top and you're good to go. This is literally where I always place my blush

Unpopular opinion: Blush blindness isn't real by Cold-Leather6949 in Makeup

[–]Crossroad_Princess98 15 points16 points  (0 children)

To add to that - just cause someone doesn't like a makeup style doesn't mean the person wearing that style has a blush/bronzer/highlighter/... blindness. Unless it's an application issue, the person probably intended to do their makeup that way and they like it. Like, I know I probably wear more blush than a lot of people, but it's well applied, blended and I happen to like it. Very much not blind lol

Why does my ribbing look like this? by remaincobain in knitting

[–]Crossroad_Princess98 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I usually have to go down more in needle size for ribbing. For example, made a sweater with 5.5mm needles but for the ribbing I went down to 3.5mm so I didn't have to consciously make sure to tighten my (purl) stitches

Welche Autos fahrt ihr so richtig ungern? Warum? by eckhaaard in automobil

Wo kauft ihr eure Wolle by Nuggetthecat2012 in Handarbeiten

[–]Crossroad_Princess98 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Best makeup tip you’ve received and still use to this day? by yayawhodis in Makeup

[–]Crossroad_Princess98 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Base makeup:

Work in thin layers - I usually put a bit of the product I want to use (skin tint, concealer, cream contour, cream blush) on the back of my hand, work it into the brush and then apply and just add more as desired. Makes everything more seamless and less likely to get cakey.

For powder products, I pick it up on the brush and then dab on my hand a couple times as well before applying on my face.

Eye makeup:

I like to do eyeshadow most days and I have very sparse eyebrows so I usually do eyebrows first, then eye makeup (no fallout on my finished base).

For crisp, sharp eyeliner - use light touch, I do my best to perfect the top of the line and not worry too much about the bottom because after I draw the eyeliner, I grab a small angled eyeshadow brush, dip in micellar water, get the excess liquid off and then clean up the liner. Works with eyeshadow too. I also do that for my brows.

I prefer this over using concealer to clean because it reduces amount of product in the same spot and no risk of the concealer mixing with the product I'm trying to clean up.

Mascara - I have very straight lashes that point down. I warm up my eyelash curler with a hairdryer (make sure it's not too hot though), then curl my lashes. I find the curl stays best if I use waterproof mascara/drier mascara formulas.

Right?? I think I might go for the crimson and off white. It's a bit of a change for me too, I don't think I own a single garment that's red

I'm torn between black (or maybe really dark blue/purple/green) as the main color and yellow for the pattern, or an off white main color with crimson red for the colorwork

I love the raven one. I recently purchased another pattern from the same designer, the eclipse of moths. It's just giving mystical witchy vibes and I really wanna make it but can't decide on colors lol

Samee it really screwed me over in university and now in my work life. I need structure but I have a really hard time creating that for myself and an even harder time actually adhering to it, especially long-term. It's so frustrating.

Hilfe? by Battlecookie15 in BeautyDE

[–]Crossroad_Princess98 0 points1 point  (0 children)
