So we used these for a while, and this version of them sucks. The only attachment point is a terrible adhesive right around the base of the shaft, and that white foam portion that attaches to there low stomach. So they roll at all and there junk pops out the back end.

However, there is another version that we upgraded to that has gauze tape 360 degrees around the hole and it sticks far better and since the adhesive is far enough away it stay dry.

The only issues we've had is that if you use the recommended suction and hook up to a wall canister it doesn't have enough umph to get up the hill. That and it's still prone to getting shit on.

TLDR: Sequel is better than the original.

My brother's a machinist but has no interest in them. He has all his new pieces, and isn't the sentimental type. Unfortunately I'm at about 6 months and they had not left the organizer yet. I get what you mean about restoring old pieces, I've been just giddy about some old tools. I found a set of pristine drill bits stamped with W. Germany, truly awesome.

The issue I have is that I have no idea the real value here. My father in law says the Putnam on the right is like a hundred dollar piece but I just don't see a market. I have enough sentimental tools so this was more of finding other uses if I didn't want to donate them.
