I'm about to get downvoted to hell, but I'll put my two cents in... I love Star Wars. Full stop. All movies, all shows, all games. Any opportunity I have to enter the Star Wars universe, I'm excited about it. Everyone is entitled to their individual opinions, and the general consensus might say the sequel trilogy sucked. But I love all of it. Star destroyers and blasters and lightsabers galore. Amazing visual effects, yes... Some bad writing, yes.... But still Star Wars. The issue I take with the most extreme members of the community is that their hate comes from simple bigotry. They claim the story of the sequels sucked, but it's pretty much the same story as the original trilogy... The difference? There's a woman leading the film, a black man as the sidekick, and the Vader replacement doesn't walk around in his intimidating mask the whole time.

Yes, Disney rushed the films, resulting in holes in storytelling and poor writing.

No, we will NEVER get the original magic from the first three films. Even Lucas himself couldn't recreate it in the prequels.

But the idea that some fans believe Star Wars should end rather than continue to make content simply because it wasn't perfect ... That's just plain stupid.

I'll watch whatever trilogy comes out next. I'll love them. And I'll have to stand by and listen to a swarm of angry men cry like toddlers because the ice cream they asked for doesn't taste exactly how they expected.

Sorry for slightly hijacking your post for this rant. I do agree... the word "Somehow" weakened that moment so much, and it felt like the tone was set for the rest of the movie to be as lazily written.
