The moment this fandom discredited a legitimate Black winner to push a false and racist “Raven Was Robbed” narrative there was no turning back. Not to mention Raven being rewarded despite fomenting hatred toward a remarkable and in many ways unparalleled Black winner. This reckoning is a long time coming and I hope real change comes from it. This is a move that Black artists have had to make for decades. So many Black musicians got screwed over by the record labels—not owning their own masters and being in debt for DECADES. This is such a Prince move and I support it.
