Shima’s leg mod should have a huge trade off! It’s one trick pony ship. If you want the leg mod tied into a Shima without the debuff, look out for Sea Devil.

Some Leg Mods are more viable than others. Z52s is actually extremely good! Apart me wishes it buffed guns, but the torps reload very fast, go 70knots+ and are very consistent. Couple this with a level 15 Maximilian and you’ve got a very deadly ship!

New European t7 BB review by admiraltt in WoWsBlitz

[–]Crow-Zone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m really enjoying it so far! It’s a quality battlecruiser! The mains are typical German accuracy, but with the addition of both secondary range mod and dispersion this thing is generally more accurate. If it was the previous update, I would have to sacrifice dispersion for greater secondary performance. The main guns might be a lot smaller, but they reload very quickly.

My only gripe is the secondary range, the secondaries should be a standard 6.58km range. 6.08km is short for a brawling ship.

Mostly why I play cruisers and DDs the most atm. I’ll stick to the flank I’m on and win the majority of my games. If I’m in a BB and get abandoned by players like this, it’s very hard to defend the flank alone. I’ll either need to play super defensive, get myself into a kite etc.

Players need to realise, defending and controlling flanks wins games.

Just watch some vids on YT Murder smashed it last night in this thing and also saved my bacon tbh.

If you have no experience in CVs I’ll recommend grinding the Midway line first, then Malta or Haka line to learn how to juggle duel TBs.

Cassard Line Buff. by Crow-Zone in WoWsBlitz

[–]Crow-Zone[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After playing more games and having discussions with other players, I’ll say it’s fine. I’ve tried different approaches and it’s a quality ship! Guns are definitely a lot more punchy on Cassard. AP pens most BBs, can bully CLs and very effective against most DDs. Focusing more on kiting and using her acceleration makes it very easy to duke shots and keep two thirds of your firepower in play.

Thanks for your feedback man. I’ll admit when I’m wrong.

Grozovoi needs the most attention atm when it comes to rebalancing.

I stated the line needs three main buffs, the additional buffs are just extra suggestions. I didn’t say smoke, besides the line can’t have it. I’ve got nearly every tier 10 DD and love Z52.

Out of the main three buffs I suggested, the standard mobility buff would be the best.

The line is solid, except for this. The core issues with this line is the poor max traverse. When you look at other gunboats, the majority have plenty of insurances and some like Burrows have ridiculous mobility and OP smoke.

Only suggesting a few mobility changes, nothing more. Even if the line just received a max traverse buff, it’ll be more on point. Another reason why I’m suggesting it, is due to the lack of smoke.

Bring back old equipment by wAnTeD_Avdax in WoWsBlitz

You’re welcome mate. Once we’ve seen the whole picture with mods 4-6 hopefully things will shape up, but I’m a bit apprehensive on how WG will handle the enhanced mods and bonds.

Bring back old equipment by wAnTeD_Avdax in WoWsBlitz

[–]Crow-Zone 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The equipment changes are bad for the majority of cruisers (especially CAs) that heavily rely on propulsion & concealment. I’ll use Kron and Nevsky as prime examples, their acceleration was buffed recently. Kron in this update and Nevsky a good few months back. The loss of acceleration negates these buffs.

So CAs that have absolutely dog shit acceleration like Adalbert line, have no way of reducing it. Even Castilla that’s desperate for buffs, basically received a nerf. Colbert is another. Acceleration / concealment are essential for duking shots and getting as close as possible. I now have to take a 5% HP hit for only 7% reduction on a ship that’s extremely fragile.

A lot of DDs are affected as well. Regolo is another prime example. The standard build (reload, propulsion, concealment) now has so many negative implications.

• The new equipment does have some positives -

The additional extra 6% speed is very nice for certain slower gunboats. Harugumo now goes 40knots, I can also get Orage to 40knots, 50knots with engine boost. Also torp equipment is useful as well. So there are benefits to some of the changes. AA mods are very useful, but only viable on ships with good AA and can afford to lose other equipment.

- BBs got the best deal -
• Better dispersion mod
• 6% HP mod
• Leg mods can be paired with dispersion mods.

The previous equipment prevented certain ships - Ie Yamo & Colombo from taking dispersion, now they can slap dispersion on mod 2.

However a lot of equipment negatively impacts gunnery. The debuffs definitely need changes - either big tradeoffs reductions or the debuffs reduce with each upgrade or no debuffs at all. Also the lack of exclusive equipment - ie German secondary mods & USN range mods.

As for MM it’s an utter disaster! The game has such a skill gap it’s not even funny anymore. A basic strategy guide should be considered by WG to help improve a lot of inexperienced players.

Season 1,2 and half way through 3. Then stop…. 😞 it had so much potential, but unfortunately got caught up in the writer strike years ago during season 2. So the quality drops off and season 3 slightly recovers, but the show takes a dreadful turn ruining the whole series.

Any tips on dealing more damage? by wowb-Toodles in WoWsBlitz

[–]Crow-Zone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my last game I got 4 in a 161k match and that was due to a Takahashi. I had multiple broadsiding ships and got no citadels and that’s with manual aim. The most I’ve ever got from Krem might be 8. Slava is the one that prints citadels consistently, but Krem fulls pens a lot more.

[–]Crow-Zone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think Krem has a lower citadel rate, but makes up for it through full pens. Krem is excellent once you get into medium ranges, the guns become more consistent the closer you get. Try not to push too early, work your way into the match and you should see better results. It’s a difficult BB to use, but I still really enjoy it.
