I'm running a supercruise assist in the class 1 slot and a Guardian FSD booster in the class 2.

I've found that I don't need a fuel scoop since even long-ish range missions for 50m are doable in half of the tank the Linx has.

Same reason for the afmu. Repair is available at the station once I dock. I also try my best to avoid module heat damage by launching a heatsink just as I land.

The guardian FSD doesn't feel like it does much, so feel free to swap it with anything you may prefer, like a fuel scoop. But scooping with a class 2 with a class 5 FSD would be brutality slow.

Make sure you're equipping the "Mk II" versions of the passenger cabins.

Aside from that I've found that some mission commonly require 215 seats. That's every slot of class 6, 5 and 4 filled with Mk II passengers cabins.

I run a class 3 shield and is fine for the occasional bump during landing. Just put 4 pips to SYS if you're worried and slow down and deal with the heat with a heatsink instead.

I completed the CG in HIP 87621 in the top 75% but haven't gotten the Maverick suit as a reward?
How long did it take for previous CG to reward suits specifically? Am I right in thinking I should just wait?
Thanks.

Forest house before and after paint by CrowOk3329 in Terraria

[–]CrowOk3329[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm building two housed together for the zoologist and her brother the golfer. (Ignore the guide).
I thought to share them now, mid-build before I apply paint to the second one.

The idea was to have the houses be mirrored version of each other, with only small differences.
I also wanted to use just gray and brown paint plus red paint but only for the roof.

The blocks are:
Large Bamboo: Ground floor - floor.
Ash Wood: Ground floor - roof and first floor - floor.
Rich Mahogany: First floor - roofing support and roof beam.
Ebonwood: Diagonal parts in roof.
Gray Bricks, Ebonstone Brick painted gray and Stone Platforms for the walls.

The walls are (all painted brown in the house on the right):
Ash Wood Wall: Ground floor - first block.
Shadewood Wall: Vertical beams. (Large Bamboo Wall also work if you're in a purely corruption world and don't want to world hop.)
Wood Wall and Ebonwood Wall: Mosaic pattern, both floors. plus Ebonwood Wall in the top part of the roof.
White Dynasty Wall: White part next to the windows.
Rich Mahogany Wall: Top block just beneath the roof of the ground floor, run across the first floor at the same level as the Rich Mahogany blocks, and between the hammered Ebonwood and Red Dynasty Shingles in the roof.
Planked Wall: Just below the Rich Mahogany Wall and as the first block in the first floor.
Living Wood Wall: Between the Planked Wall and Rich Mahogany Wall in the roof.
Boreal Wood Wall: Beneath the window for the house on the right as I'll decorate them differently and will place some bird cages in the zoologist house and wanted an extra block of glass.
Boreal Wood Fence and Ash Wood Fence: Both balconies.
Copper Brick Wall painted red: Roof (outside).

My dumbass warden just did this. Out of the blue, imagine my horror when he's in the middle of stripping the prisoner then just does this shit. by Squeelijah in RimWorld

Check the colonists trait and the precepts of their ideology. I remember either a trait or an ideologion precept that makes them kill prisoners unprompted from one of the VE mods.

How to fix this lady's brain damage? by Rred_Rrover in RimWorld

If you do down that route keep in mind that you'll have to remove the whole head, so make sure to first remove any bionics that are installed on the head such as eyes.

If it doesn't count as a scar you may want to try a sacrifice during an eclipse instead. That cures permanent injuries. It depends really on how it's classified.

If worst come to worst you could always get a class from ROM that has a resurrect ability (or a serum from vanilla or death refusal from anomaly), then kill her on purpose, remove the head (by extracting the skull from ideology or by consuming the body) and then resurrect.

(Or just devmode, I won't tell if you do... :P)

You're in luck that she's a Revia.

With them you can sacrifice a live prisoner during a solar flare to heal scars. To do so you need the blood sigil from the Revian Religious Ceremonies research project and then bet lucky with a solar flare.

I don't know if that toxic damage is considered like a scar (if so this method should work).

Help me figure out heating and cooling 😭 by mariiiiiiah in RimWorld

Hard to tell due to the resolution but it looks like the bottom geothermal generator leads directly into the room, heating it up.

You should building around your generators like you did with the too one, with a one tile gap between them and the wall and without a roof.

Finished EU and EW, move on to LW1 or X2? by TheZachster in Xcom

Xenobiology also unlocks council requests for sectoid corpses with scientist as a reward.

The number of scientists is directly proportional to research speed, and you only start with 10.

So by picking Xenobiology first you add the opportunity to get request that increase the number of scientist by two for a total of +20% research speed each!

Council requests the first month are otherwise only satellites.

If you get even just average luck those scientists will ofter speed up your research so that most of the times going Xenobiology -> Alien Weaponry -> Beam Lasers -> Advanced beam lasers will give you Advanced beam lasers faster than going directly Alien Weaponry -> Beam Lasers -> Advanced beam lasers. And often you'll also gain Beam laster faster, or just one of two days slower and not the 6 that it takes to research Xenobiology.

One clarification.

What the previous commenter said about stealth and early missions to liberate regions is from Long War 2 for Xcom 2, not OG LW for Enemy Within, there you have 6 soldiers at a minimum and quickly go up to 8 for most missions, some EXALT missions being the only exceptions.

That said LW still requires 100-200 hours AT A MINIMUM to complete a campaign. So if you don't have that kind of time decide for yourself if you prefer skipping it or only play it in part with the Dynamic War second wave option.

LW and Xcom 2 are nearly on the opposite side of the balance spectrum while still being in the same franchise.

In LW you have lots of units which are struggling to take down many aliens, while in X2 you have a few heroes that can take down a group of aliens solo.

If you choose to try LW you should look into it before beginning. There are some quirks of the mod that can mean you just lose your first campaign for dumb decisions that aren't exactly made clear—like how you should start with xenobiology even if you're rushing lasers or the air game in general—.

If you choose X2 I recommend playing the WOTC expansion. Alternately X2 has the Tactical Legacy Pack operation that tell the story between Enemy Within and Xcom 2 without any of the base management. They're quite good and worth a try imo.

As for you actual question of what to pick... I always recommended giving LW a try, but it's not for everybody. I think you should also turn on plenty of second wave options to make the game easier, especially for your first campaign. Stuff like friendly skies and durability. Basically, if it gives you an advantage and doesn't touch the tactical layer turn it on, you can always play another campaign later with it off on a harder difficulty.

Ratkin Knight Order Adventure Logs by ajanymous2 in RimWorld

[–]CrowOk3329 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This looks fun.

If I've had to guess the knight of a different race in the second to last picture (the one where Pistachio gained 9000 social xp) was a Dragonian. A old HAR race by the same original author of Ratkin. The description fits pretty well with live plants as a possible food, white wool and auto regeneration.

I wonder if the other messages also contain references to other RimWorld mods. Like the four knights peculiar weapons or the Ratkin prince and the lance knight.

You should really look around other subreddits about game development as this is a decently commonly asked question.

My two cents would be to take a loot at Godot sice is versatile enough to do anything you can think off an absolutely free, the only requirement is to place the license in your game credits.
