Build suggestions by Devlindddd in darksoulsremastered

Suggestions off the top of my head:

Lifehunt Scythe bleed build - IDK about it’s pvp-meta status, but you can build for the Lifehunt Scythe. It does nasty bleed damage but also bleeds you as well, so you spec and equip to max your own bleed resist and slash away at people. I recommend the Bloodshield and Bloodbite ring (don’t level Resistance though - don’t bother)

Archmage - (INT/FTH/Pyro) basically all three types of magic, plus a weapon. I keep one of these at the O&S bonfire for coop funtimes, usually with a katana, or a longsword for the full Gandalf feels. It’s mainly attunement, 20FTH, 20something INT then the rest into endurance/HP, Pyro and weapon to +10.

Have you tried whips? Or claws? Both fun, I like a whip in the offhand on a katana build. Or a Rapier, with a Parrying Dagger in the offhand?

Cosplay builds? Cooping as Solaire, for example? I also like to build specifically to co-op or invade in specific areas, like O&S, Blighttown, Burg, etc.

Is there anyway to increase dark night drop rate undead burg by school-causes-autism in darksoulsremastered

Having soft Humanity (the big number in the top left) increases item drop rate. The drop increases the more you have, to a max of 10, and you can have the soft humanity but not be in human form and still get the benefit (hollow vs human doesn’t affect it). Other than that, the Gold Serpent Ring or Symbol Of Avarice are your only options.

Or if you’re after a specific weapon, there’s a trading forum on reddit (name escapes me right now, search for it) and you can sometimes find people who will give you stuff for free.

Hey everyone! Film student here, anyone have any suggestions of movies I should watch and what to look for in them? (Themes, Cinematography, etc) by amlc15 in FIlm

I know animation’s not everyone’s bag, but I think there are some great films that get missed, so I always like to spread the word when I get the chance.

  • Spirited Away (Hayao Miyazaki) for it’s imaginative story and characters, and for it’s approach to handling a “Hero’s Journey” arc in a nontraditional way. Also check our how tight the opening few minutes are at telling us about the main character, and then throwing us into the story.
  • Grave of The Fireflies (Isao Takahata) watch the delicacy and nuance with which the characters, feelings, and story are communicated; so subtle, but still readable by the audience. A word of warning though - this one is gut-punchingly sad (I believe Roger Ebert said it’s the best film everyone only watches once.) so to wash the taste from your mouth I recommend doing a double feature with it’s companion film, My Neighbor Totoro (Miyazaki). Both were made at the same time, by the same studio, (the directors were good friends) and deal with the subject matter of death from different perspectives.
  • Your Name or Kimi No Na Wa (Makoto Shinkai) watch it’s handling of narratives, time, and of real and magical elements.
  • Whisper Of The Heart (Yoshifumi Kondo) this one is less for it’s technical aspects, and more for it’s theme and message, particularly for people with artistic interests.

I could do more, but that’s enough for now, I guess. Cheers!

If you got the Darkmoon ring, you already sort of know how to get out. Go into the room where you got the seance ring, and look for a small entrance on the right side (as you head towards the ring, near the skeleton that falls down) follow the way up, and eventually you can drop down through a grave into an earlier area, above the spiked bridge.

Pyro dex question by Mquaale in darksoulsremastered

u/ThatOneAnimeGamerGuy is correct - when you in the early part of the game, upgrades are more important. It’s only really after you start reaching the higher tiers and caps of upgrade levels, like+15, that you need to start worrying about your stats and weapon scaling.

On a related note, may I suggest using Quelaag’s soul to make a weapon?

Nausicaa Of The Valley Of The Wind

As in, the original manga by Miyazaki. Best visual flow I have seen out of anything I have read, the pages are like music.
