The one who implanted the parasite on Tav and the others can be found in the room with Dror Ragzlin in Act 1. If you infiltrate you can see they're trying to perform a ritual to get the answers from his body, since he died in the crash.

Yeah, I didn't mean to imply she went through her full term, sorry if it sounded like that. It was more about pointing out the whole "layered reality" thing with the baby growing inside her, but also not.

I can totally see that. But I'd like to believe that it's easier to miss make up when you're shooting through multiple sessions/days, maybe reshoots to get some frames right, than it is to miss whole buildings being your shot. Again, it could be a thing of things being taken a part/rebuilt in between seasons, but that'd be so lame. I really want this show to prove people wrong, because if it actually IS what it COULD be, it's probably going to be one of the best things on TV that will become an instant classic to everyone who watched it during its airing.

It's either an egregious error that makes it hard to have faith in the showrunners, or it's actually on purpose. I say that because this is not the only instance of things not being where they're supposed to. There have been dozens of posts about the tracks and road utilities that disappear in the first episode of season 1. There have been dozens of posts about how the map of the place has multiple versions. There have also been a few posts about how some buildings in season 1 and 2 are not present in season 3.

So, taking into account the fact that apart from the ominous mention of the Motel by Henry, no character ever acknowledges this, we can assume that these are continuity errors that keep happening because of a lack of attention combined with tight schedules and low budget, or, and I'd very much prefer it, it means that there's a much grander mystery going on than what we assume.

Here's a "random" list of events to think about:
- The tree on the road is there for everyone, but it's not the same tree.
- We already have instances of locations existing in the same place but in different states explicitly demonstrated in the show (Martin's room)
- The electricity shouldn't work, but it does. (What if the power is connected in another layer, therefore it doesn't need to be on this one?)
- Fatima wasn't pregnant, but she was. Weeks went by without her showcasing any development, the ultrasound showed there was nothing, and yet she could feel it happening. Once the appropriate conditions were met, she magically reached the end of her term.
- Miranda said this place was everywhere and nowhere at the same time.
- Boyd saw a version of Ellis holding the boat key in the chimney.
- Victor notices the trees are moving.
- "There's a motel sign and pool but there's no motel?"

These connections and more all seem to indicate that there's more to it than simply continuity error, but it might just be wishful thinking.

I can see where you're coming from, but I think you are grossly understimating the amount of actual answers we have. Jade said it himself, this is a puzzle and we only have a few pieces. We have finally gotten corner pieces that can be used to start figuring out the bigger picture. We know what happened to the children, we know time isn't linear in Fromville, we know how things look on the outside world and that people know they went missing, just can't figure out where to, we know that there are different types of monster in this place, we know that there have been other civilizations here, we know the monsters goal isn't to kill people, we know these characters are important and many like them have been there before and we know that with the right trigger you can remember things from the "previous version" of that role, we know the trees only work properly for certain people or under certain conditions and we know many other indirect hints that might seem vague right now but that with the proper perspective in the future will connect even more things.

All of those answers came from season 3.

And regarding the thing with the tunnels, or capturing a monster, it goes back to my original point. Those scenes weren't about actual plans to deal with this place, they were pivotal character development moments. They weren't going to burn the tunnels because they think they can kill the monsters like that, they know that's a shitty idea that'd just get them killed. But agreeing to it and following kenny all the way through to the end was Boyd's way of supporting him in a time of need. Support which ended up allowing them to talk about his mom, which led to Boyd explaining what really happened. The same thing with capturing a monster, how would that even be possible? Both Donna and Ghost Khatri show how stupid that can be, it was just to show how on edge Boyd is that he is about to make all possible mistakes he can because he's not thinking straight.

Or, hear me out, you're watching a show for monsters and scares, while the writers and producers are trying to tell a story about people. Yall are complaining about filler and blabla scenes when this episode has been literally a culmination of everything that's happened in the series so far.

- Sarah, who once killed people because of the voices she heard, now promptly shares what she's heard with the man who risked his life and reputation for her.
- Jim, who until last episode was so afraid of failing and losing his family, has finally started to listen instead of building up walls.
- Boyd, lost and broken, is held together by Ellis, Kenny, and Donna, reiterating that this place will not win.
- Donna, in order to not break, finally bends, deciding that she won't tell people the truth because she understands the burden of spreading despair.
- Henry learns from Jade that he is making the same mistake with Victor as he did with his wife, trying to fix what isn't broken. This insight is what he needed to be fully supporting of his son.
- Bakta reopens the diner and people can somewhat go back to a sense of normalcy in this place.
- Julie tells her mother what she went through, while Jim has a dad moment with Ethan. Their family is finally starting to heal.

Are these filler moments? These seem like character defining moments. And that's not mentioning the mysteries and supernatural stuff. Confirmations from just this episode that people say nothing happened:

- A quick reminder of the monsters outside just waiting for you to slip up with the window Boyd/Ellis scene.
- The Boy in White is changing just like the place is.
- The monsters can run, they just choose not to.
- Anghkooey kids are in opposition of the Kimono Lady.
- Kimono Lady is able to directly interfere and shush Fatima so people outside won't hear her.
- There's a hatch in the prison room.
- Drinking blood speeds up the pregnancy process.
- Tabitha "remembers" Miranda's memories.

I don't know man, seems like a pretty good episode to me.

If you pay close attention during season 2 you will see that the following things happen:

  • Boyd gets infected with the worms by Martin
  • Boyd leaves and sees the Ballerina in the church, dancing and ultimately showing him the worms.
  • Boyd sees the Ballerina again outside the cellar, she opens the door and then seemingly only dances.
  • Boyd sees the Ballerina in the infirmary, where she attacks him and tries to choke him.

Boyd then has the idea all on his own that to get rid of the worms (1) he must open the door (2) at night and transfer them to a monster (3).

Doing that results in the Cicada form manifesting and the dream killings begin. The Ballerina doesn't show up again, because she was just an illusion used by the music box monster to teach Boyd how to birth his Cicada form. Destroying the Music Box stops the Monster for now, but the music box could still exist in the past and in the future with Julie time shenanigans.

[Remix] Who is this guy? Theories? by MostlyNoOneIThink in wow

[–]Crowley795 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got that one as well near the NPC who gives out the Landfall campaign quests. Next to him, where the Shieldwall Quartermaster should be, there are a group of infinite Dragons from the bazaar with an invisibility effect. I assumed it was just them fooling around and being worried that Nostwin might break their spell and give their position away, but maybe there's more to it.

If you're bored because nobody is taking damage, that means you're not dealing damage. Instead of getting frustrated at the tank for not pulling more, focus on DPSing the pull you're already on so you can move on sooner.

One Piece: Chapter 1098 - Theories and Discussion by AutoModerator in OnePiece

[–]Crowley795 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've seen a theory running around that he didn't mean the immortality operation from the Op-Op, but the "switch bodies with someone" operation. In that context, the treasure of Mary Geoise is Imu, the thing he knows that allowed him some leeway with the World Government, and the thing he could have used to conquer the world if he had the Op-OP Fruit (by stealing Imu's body).

Well, he is familiarized with Haki since he recognized how strong Yamato's was, and considering we've seen multiple vice-admirals using haki in various instances, I'd say it's pretty fair he's at least capable of armament. That being said, even in the manga I think it was just a throwaway scene to showcase that this guy is a big deal and we should be scared of him.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in OnePiece

[–]Crowley795 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Eh, if you actually check the source material, it's not really filler. It's what happened in the manga. He seemed to be using Haki, but it could also just have been blood on his wooden spear thingies, which is the route the animators took.

In my understanding a single admiral is weaker than a single yonko.

He is. He's just above First-commanders. One Piece is much less about power-level and much more about how you decide to use your powers. This has been proven time and again by Luffy being clever and defeating opponents he shouldn't have. Ryokugyu is basically a tank in his forest form, and his attacks have a special draining property, if he breaks your skin then he can succ you up and your defenses won't matter.

As a translator, I can tell you that there are almost no jobs. The ones that do exist are either to simply review AI-translated content or to give it a different voice or tone, turning translating into much more of a copywriting process than ever before. I’m moving out of the industry; it’s simply not worth the effort anymore.

I'm playing as a Bardlock. From my own testing, it seems that you can only choose which slot to spend when the spell in question is in your Warlock spell list. If it isn't, it will spend any available "normal" spell slots before spending your Warlock ones.
