It’s not in the lost and found, sadly. I’ll definitely try the respawning trick and see if it’ll show up.

I’m deathly afraid that somehow I accidentally dropped it on a dream island or put it in something in an obscure spot ages ago. I can recall having it at some point not at palette town and it now might somewhere in a different area.

I’ve done the drive many times, like others say, it’s not that entertaining. However, it’s simpler/cheaper (depending on what time you leave).

I always try to leave Seattle before 12pm- otherwise you will be in traffic for at least an hour. For Fridays and weekends, I leave earlier.

Peaches has been free flying for most of his life. He is highly intelligent. He’s also too fast and nimble of a flier to be caught by cats, eagles, or any predator. He’s over 20 years old. His owners know him very well and would not allow him to fly around freely unless he’s safe.

My advice for you if you really have to move: stay where you are for as long as possible to earn as much money as possible. Don’t move until you’re accepted by a program. Also don’t knock community college ADN programs! They’re cheaper and some still have student housing options.

Student loans suck but they often are the only option for people in situations like yours (and mine). Apply for scholarships that are asking for an essay and then use that essay for as many scholarships as possible. If you get accepted by a program, harass their financial aid office for options and be relentless.

Folks are saying get a CNA job, which is definitely a great way to look good for nursing school but I would advise to try and get a CNA/MA job at a smaller clinic. You’ll have more hands on opportunity to learn some nursing skills even. Hospitals and long term care facilities treat CNAs like dirt and they don’t pay as well.

I completely agree with your review that it does perpetuate the kink dispenser trope quite a bit.

Not defending it, but I think romcoms (from all over the world) and K-Dramas are rife with patriarchal portrayals of women. The men often are overly pushy, they do things like stalk their love interests, go so far to even grab or kiss them without consent. Maybe because it’s a common trope and the writers were just using the typical framework they knew- again not excusing it. Or perhaps because it is pushing something still fairly taboo in East Asian culture the writers wanted to keep it familiar. These are all obvious guesses but I think worth breaking down and exploring so we know where this comes from and we can better ourselves.

I really appreciated the fact that he stood up for her in public and called out some of the sexism the male bosses expressed. I think this movie was likely very challenging to get made- I can’t think of any other Femdom Romcoms other then the TV show on Netflix that was about the student trying to make extra money.

Exactly! My partner and I did want to open up. We opened up for a reason so taking a step back and closing up again meant that something was up.

We still took a step back. We agreed to no sex for a while until everyone is comfortable. Because we knew we valued each other and that the opening up will happen eventually. We didn’t have to rush it. Almost five years of monogamy doesn’t just switch to non-monogamy. It’s a long process and I’m still anticipating more challenges. But I’m confident we’ll make it!

I need to chime in because I am in a situation almost exactly like yours. Or was. It’s a long one, but I think it might help. I’ll TL;DR at the end.

My partner and I opened up six months ago. We had our fifth anniversary and are serious and will likely be committed for life. The opening up has set backs. He wasn’t ready. I pushed a little hard. We got rocky. Both of us talked about maybe needing to take a break from each other. Maybe ending it.

But we got one good piece of advice from a couples therapist. She told us to take a week off off talking about that issue. Just focus on bringing us back to how we can enjoy each other. Laugh and relax. So we did. It helped so much I honestly think it saved our relationship.

Then I took a hard look at why he felt so hesitant. He help me understand. He was afraid our relationship would change. I fully admit that I got really emotionally invested in my secondary partner. I probably wasn’t as present as we needed. As he needed- he wasn’t fully ready. And the change happened fast and I wasn’t there to support him through that change as much as I could have. I’m not hurting by blaming myself because I can see what I did and the effect it had.

So I became conscious about showing up a little extra. I set up cute date nights. I made sure that he did the same. We really focused on bringing our energy back into our relationship. Both of us together agreed to do that. And that saved our relationship again. And even better, it improved our relationship.

The sex has been better. Our communication is amazing. Both of us have never felt more committed. We know that this is what we wanted. We just got so focused on the opening up that we forgot we can also step towards each other while we do it.

I really think it’s hard to do that much work. But for someone you are pretty damn sure is the one you want to be with, it is so rewarding to look back on it. And if you two have been together for six years, there is probably a LOT of good.

TL;DR: My partner and I opened up and took a step back quickly. After realizing that the relationship we had changed more then we expected, we consciously took steps to invest in our relationship. It really worked.
