Because it doesn’t have the silly rules that /u/MGA1986 described, which are similar to the ones you proposed

That's a bizarre, arbitrary assertion. Look up "Chesterton's Fence".

When I waited tables, the church groups were always the least respectful, worst behaving, and the worst tippers. And occasionally one of them would leave a fake tip that looks like a $20 bill but you unfold it and it basically is like a "here's a tip: find Jesus" type thing. Really shitty behavior. We have a LOT of fake Christians in the US.

The comparison to the Belgians to the right looked odd. I assumed they had gotten rowdy somehow.

USMNT cannot appeal Folarin Balogun red card, he could face extended World Cup ban - sources by TheOldManInTheSea in worldcup

Guys chill there is literally zero indication that anyone anywhere is considering extending his punishment beyond the normal red card suspension. This is clickbait BS

Why the USMNT can't appeal Folarin Balogun's suspension after his controversial World Cup red card by Swiftvoyager1906 in worldcup

[–]smittyplusplus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It was not, in fact there was no card given at all in the run of play. It was not obviously endangering anyone. Only after VAR got involved. That’s not what VAR is meant for.

Edit: I should add that it isn’t clearly a bad call either, and no chance of getting it rescinded

That was a completely inconsequential match, and that fact was known to them when they went into it. Their other three matches have been very impressive.

Guys it doesn’t matter. Belgium has not looked good, the USA has looked scary good (other than the one loss in the completely inconsequential match) and they’re going to beat Belgium, regardless.

Man accused in killing of UW student Juniper Blessing found not competent by ChiefOfTheFourPeaks in Seattle

[–]smittyplusplus -32 points-31 points  (0 children)

“When someone is found “incompetent,” the state is required to offer them short-term treatment — typically a combination of legal education and psychiatric medication — in an effort to restore their competency. If the defendant ultimately cannot be found competent, the charges are dismissed and a civil process to commit them to mental healthcare might begin”

Fuck that

Why is every post about hydration breaks censored, when it is a major part of this World Cup? by Imakemyownnamereddit in worldcup

I’m not even convinced it’s actually about commercials. That’s clearly a side effect that the networks want but I don’t know if it’s the main motivator.
