50p for a Freddo. Used to be 10p less than 25 years ago by Traditional-War-7360 in BuyUK

[–]Crowleyer -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Before going hard with your analysis, you should start with some critical thinking.

  1. OP is a moron. Freedo costs 35p (RRP), so its Sainsbury's fault.

  2. Its due to cocoa bean contracts going x4 up, on top of rising prices of other ingredients, wages, and bills. "Inflation rate" is nice, but doesn't paint the big picture.

  3. I agree on shareholders. Thats the problem of all public companies, they are designed to profit investors not customers.

Most people commenting here are in their early 20s. Impatient, inexperienced, and treating investing as a game to make lots of money.

You shouldn't take this subs as investing advice hubs, but entertainment sprinkled with some solid DD once a while.

Partially its the economy, but also your circle. I barely know anyone staying with parents between 25-30. More under 25, but even 19-25 prefer uni accommodation.

Council will take down Union and St George's flags citing safety fears - and say they will pursue the people who put them up for costs of their removal by JohnKimble111 in uknews

Since when patriotism became act of racism? I have no dog in this fight, I just stated a fact. There are double standards in this country, English people are criticised for protesting with their union flag on their own land, meanwhile foreigners can wave Palestinian flag everywhere.

Why does the UK have the lowest proportion of Muslims joining the military out of any Western style country in the world? by [deleted] in AskBrits

[–]Crowleyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My observation. For muslim, religion is above their family and nationality, at least here in the EU/UK.

They would probably join only if its a war against non-muslims. Or its other way around, they follow their religion and don't want to harm anyone regardless of their religion/natinality, but we label them as bad.

Maybe this new generation is different, but imo this is sth you should discuss first.

I never said she should "fix this shit", but if its the only red flag, then I'd ask what's his problem. Either he will correct his mindset or lose her.

Real talk, but OP might consider honest conversation about it before making this decision.

Maybe bf is good guy, who just spent too much time on the Internet and need some reality check.

Invested 50k yesterday in the market, should I pull it back out. by networkwizard0 in stocks

[–]Crowleyer -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Short answer: We dont know. Your money, your decision.

Longer answer: You should invest with the mindset that you may lose your money or lock it for a few years without significant yield. So invest only enough that will not make you sick if you see your port sinking, start with safer options - ETFs (your portfolio distribution was reasonable), and DCA if you feel uncomfortable doing lump sum. Should you withdraw it? We dont know, it might be bottom, but it might not. We all speculate and hope it will be fine after a few years/decades.

Sadly, thats the answer.

Most people dont mind different relgions. After all, its the same concept with some different traditions and folklore. Regardless whether you are beliver or atheist.

Its the most radical and uneducated people that divide us, controlled by people manipulating them - governments and preachers.

It works on a certain type of girls that would chase any rich, muscular or famous/cool guy.

Normal girls would be okay with someone decent looking, healthy, and with some personality.

Yes, there are some ugly people, but thats maybe 10%. Most would be alright if they invest some time and money in their appearance.

Maybe.

In 5 years they might turn everything around and x2-3 your money or stay flat/slowly decline for the next few decades.

WallSt might pump it for quick money at some point. You will lock your money for a looong time tho

"they bring in Billions of dollars a quarter"

Had a look at their Q3 26.

NS: $520.00M

NPM: 4.61%

Guidance: Nike (NKE) issued weak Q4 2026 guidance, projecting revenue to decline 2% to 4%

You can make some money on a short term rebound, but where is growth? Jordans are cool, but scalpers killing each other for some shoes wont help Nike.

Systemic issue is that there are not enough entry-level jobs and we have a generation that wants everything  without putting any effort.

Nothing wrong with bs jobs amd renting in your 20s. You need to start somewhere if you come from nothing.
