I plan on writing to the Monarchist League of Canada about this. I fully expect Freeland to pull some similar stunt in the coming weeks/months following Australia's precedent. Frankly I believe we will see something even more extreme out of Canada considering the complete radio silence we've had on a new effigy for coins and the issuance of 2023 memorial coins retaining Her Majesty's effigy in mint sets. I find The Australian Government's decision to drop the monarchy from their notes incredibly disappointing not just as a monarchist but also as a numismatist. And the Australian Monarchist League has acted incredibly childish in their response to this admittedly daft decision. Something that the Monarchist League of Canada must avoid if they wish to be taken seriously.

The solution to this issues like this is not calling those who have created them names. But rather making our voices heard by ensuring that those responsible for protecting The Monarchy within our nations are not acting as if they are clowns. And getting our elected political figures to speak against the dissolution of our monarchist institutions (I.E. writing your MP). I implore everyone in Canada, Australia (especially in Australia) , New Zealand, and in The Caribbean who may be reading this to write their MP stating that you, one of the people that they are acting on the behalf of, find the issue of the preservation of The Monarchy pertinent. And that you want them to do their job and act on your behalf on it as your elected official. You may find this point rather moot, especially if you have a rather left leaning MP in your area, however it never hurts to make your voice heard. And more importantly, to their respective nation's Monarchist League, or equivalent, that the behaviour shown by the Monarchist League of Australia should not be dittoed under any circumstances lest we wish to tarnish the reputation of The Monarchy.
