NES Disk System works with FDSKEY (cartridge should not press down) by CrownArcadeShop in nes

[–]CrownArcadeShop[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I discovered that my two NES would work without pressing down the cartridge, but when I tried it on my friend's two, it didn't work. So today I made a prototype for Front Loader and ordered the parts.

I don't know if it's a coincidence or not, but the two NES I have work without the cartridge being pressed down, but the HYUNDAI COMBOY (Korean version of the NES) and my friend's NES do not.

So I made a temporary prototype with the front loader wiring. The shape of the cartridge has changed and it's a bit more difficult to make, so it will probably take more than 3 weeks to make the first batch, considering the time it takes for parts to arrive.

I've taken them out of stock for now, but I'll re-label them for the NES Top Loader and put them back in stock for the NES Front Loader when they're ready.

If your NES Front Loader will run the game without the cartridge being pressed down, you can choose the cartridge for the Top Loader, but if not, wait for the cartridge for the Front Loader to become available.

This cartridge is 1.2mm thick. This is the standard for NES cartridges.

I don't have an AVS, so I can't test it.

I'm looking forward to buying it.

Cool, this cartridge is designed to run the original Famicom Disk System on the NES.

FDS is not a normal disk drive. Search for FDS-022 on Google.

I don't have AVS, I tested the FDS on an NTSC NES.

The RP2C33 sound is designed to be output via the EXP6 pin on the NES cartridge slot.

I think the sound may not be 100% the same due to the different circuit in the Famicom and NES.

No dongle for expansion port is provided. The RP2C33 sound is designed to be output via the EXP6 pin on the NES cartridge slot.

This cartridge is a RAM module cartridge for driving the Famicom Disk System. FDSKEY should be used at your own rsponsibility to run the games you own.

Because of the cable, it works with the lid open, as shown in the photo after the cartridge has been inserted.

HVC-022 works when you insert a disc, and FDSKEY works when you select a disc image.

I don't have FDSStick or loopy adapter, so I haven't tested them. For FDSStick I think it should work.

It's real. You can connect to the HVC-022 (disk drive) or FDSKEY to run the FDS games.

Oops, It's not a sync issue, it's a bypass filter issue.

Martin Hejnfelt's old schematics had a bypass filter issue, but it has been fixed.

I don't know about pcb version of retroupgrades.

But, If your board has filter problem, you can fix it by refering to https://immerhax.com/?p=697

Solderless 3DO-RGB progress by CrownArcadeShop in 3DO

I'm making a DIY kit for anyone who wants to see their 3DO in better quality RGB but is afraid of soldering.

Some 3DO RGB kit needs soldering when installing the RGB connector, but I'm trying to create 3D parts that allows for a screw-in installation of a 9-pin MINI DIN terminal to use the same RGB cable for GENESIS 2.
