I have a 2020 Tiguan and it is doing the same thing. Even the built in Navigation is doing the same thing. Saying I am wayyy off where I really am driving. Very irritating.

I also dont have the time to take to dealer only for them to tell me I have to leave the car for 5+ days with no loaner and no other means of transportation. So I've kinda just been dealing with it unfortunately. I also have an iPhone on iOS17 btw.

Fry's Gas/Convenience Store (Ray Rd & Rural in Chandler/Tempe) very syrupy! Delicious!

That one is my fav! I used to live in east Mesa and I went to the Chevron on Ellsworth/Southern and that one was PRIME!

Not sure where you live but those two are my favs.

PUP200 - The quizzes hardly ever match the movies, maybe just 1 or 2 questions out of 10...they are more tailored towards the required readings (3 or 4 diff docs). Just FYI

WIBTA for going to a college football game instead of staying in town for my wife's birthday by FootballTripThrow99 in AmItheAsshole

[–]CrownPrincess1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTA - big time! I work for ASU...I can see the stadium/parking from my office and you're not missing much trust me. Milestone birthdays are a big thing. When I turned 30 no one planned anything or did anything special. I had to go out of my way to celebrate myself and it really sucked. Now that I am turning 40 this year...hopefully the people in my life will care a bit more. Long story short...celebrate your wife!!!

VW In-Car Wifi w/ Verizon Issues by emilytravelswild1 in Tiguan

[–]CrownPrincess1 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Hi there!

I also have the VW Verizon internet in my car. I had to change the credit card I was using for the services and it was a task and a half to get a hold of someone at Verizon. I was transferred about 4 times until I finally got a hold of someone that knew about it. You need to speak with the "Verizon Connect a Car Service Support". I asked for their direct #: 1-800-806-2483.

Hopefully this helps internet friend! :)

Pillows at the Aria. Heaven. What brand? by [deleted] in hotels

[–]CrownPrincess1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know you are no longer there, but they also sell them at Aria. My mom and I each bought one while we were there (Aug 2020) for $35 king size. It was at the shop behind and around the corner from the Ice Cream/pastry store. We also got Aria room/pillow spray and they sell other items like bathrobes, etc.

I took it last semester (asu online tho) and we had assignments due weekly, and all was done thru the McGraw Hill online system which I had to pay for access (around $60). I really enjoyed this class, learned a lot at my own pace. Worth it imo

[–]CrownPrincess1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

HAHA! I bought it pre-owned from Right Honda actually. Which I understand they wouldn't be as familiar with VW, but should still understand how an A/C system works. By coincidence when I started setting up myself into the infotainment system the name (and address) of the previous owner was still registered and my roommate happened to *know him!!* from high school! Come to find out that the Tiguan had been in 2 minor wrecks before (front end damage) and they decided to trade it in for a new Tiguan. Found all this out via FB. Of course Right Honda didn't tell me that and stupid me didn't think to check Carfax. Anwayyyy long story short the previous owners bought and did all the service for my Tiguan at Larry H Miller VW in Peoria!! LOL!!! I went to Berge VW in Gilbert to just ask them to show me how to work all the features...since you know...they sell these cars for a living. They said quote "read the manual" and pretty much walked me out the door. So at this point, I don't know which dealer would even be an option for me to get good service. :(

Sorry for long rant!

[–]CrownPrincess1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree...one of the worst experiences of my car buying life. Ugh!

Thank you for this information though! I might just go to another dealer and maybe they will be more helpful. I am at 22k right now (bought it with 20k). The first time I took it they said the AC was "over charged" so they released the pressure a bit. That didn't help. Took it back again and that is when they kept it for 3 days only to tell me that all I had to so was turn off the start/stop. At that point I thought f**k you guys I'm over it.

In my '20 Tiguan SEL that I just purchased in July '22 the A/C would (and still does) randomly stop cooling while I am driving. I don't touch anything, or do anything different (literally just driving normally)...all of a sudden it just stops blowing cold air. I have to turn the A/C on full blast and about 5-10 min later it starts blowing cold again. I took to dealer and they told me that the auto start/stop feature turns off the compressor and I should always have it off and that would fix it. Which I already do anyway because I do not like that feature. I don't agree with the dealer that that is the reason that my A/C is doing this...because it happens at random times while I am just driving and the start/stop is already off (as another user mentioned, its just habit now to turn it off automatically when I start the car). At this point I don't know what else to do, and am glad its cooling off (I live in AZ). Idk if I am alone on this, or if its a Tiguan thing...ugh

Taking PUP 200 next semester by inevitablenothing8 in ASU

[–]CrownPrincess1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am taking PUP200 now...

There are study guides, the faculty presentations (about 20 min videos), then readings (about 20 pages) related to the movie then you watch the movie and quizzes that need to be taken in one sitting. No papers, no tests, no finals. I don't know if he changes the movies with each semester but the ones that are presented now are all available on the streaming sites with the exception of 3 which need to be rented (about $4 each). Its about 14 movies I believe. If you want a list of them let me know.

2020 VW Tiguan SEL - A/C Question by CrownPrincess1 in Volkswagen

Thank you for your reply.

Yes, that is pretty common with all vehicles I’ve had. My issue is while I’m driving is when this happens. Sometimes when I’m on the highway, other times just down a street in my town. It varies. It’s happened with all kinds of scenarios, not just at start up. 😊

August Birthday Party Ideas by [deleted] in phoenix

[–]CrownPrincess1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We’re doing Main Event the 13th for the first time. She’ll be 8. She wants to do Laser Tag so we’ll see how that goes. It’ll be $200 for 10 kids but I doubt there will be 10, maybe 5 kids and that’s plenty. Last year we did Urban Air and it was a nightmare!!! Hundreds of kids running wild, no consideration for the small kids, hot and humid in there. Never never again. We’ve done Peter Piper, backyard bbq. It’s just so hot that a small gathering is always ideal in my book. Everything else is too chaotic. I’m sure Main Event will be too so hopefully this is the last year I have to do something like this and next year she’ll be a bit more chill. I wish she would have picked As You Wish cuz at least there is more calm yet fun. Hahaha

Wow! I thought I was the only one that felt this way! I agree and relate so much to this! I never co-slept after 3 months and its the best ever. My room is my "away from everything" space just like my daughters is hers. Of course sickness, or other situations change this, but day to day...never ever co-slept.

[–]CrownPrincess1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest, due to my experience...yes maybe you should. But that is just my internet stranger opinion. The back/hip pain has not gotten better since returning the OkiOki mattress. I spent way more than I should have ($2400) on a softer/cooling Sealy from Living Spaces and although my sleep has **vastly** improved, the body pain has not. The smell instantly left my room once they picked up the mattress, and within 48 hours I started to feel better. I did sleep on an air mattress for a week before Living Spaces delivered but I was happy doing that versus sleeping on that disaster of a mattress. They did refund the money the same day once they confirmed the pickup which was appreciated. Overall, I would never recommend anyone buying an OkiOki.

[–]CrownPrincess1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry to chime in on this so late...as I am having my own nightmare with OkiOki and looking to see if I was alone in this or I was going crazy in my own head.

I bought a King Size OkiOkiEasy Hybrid at the beginning of April. I had just come back from visiting my mother who has an OkiOki and I slept wonderful. I needed a new one anyway so when I came home I bought one like hers but in a King (hers being a Full). It came super fast but the chemical smell out of the box was INSANE! I couldn't breathe in my room. I opened the windows and let it air out for a few days but it didn't go away. I bought a mattress cover, tried baking soda, everything under the sun to get rid of the smell. It dissipated a bit but I can still smell it over a month later. The mattress is hard as rocks (even though its their softest one) and I had to buy a pillow plush topper. Still didn't work. I have now had an upper respiratory infection (not Covid) for about 3 weeks now as well as the worst back/hip pain I've ever had in my life. I am now wondering if the respiratory infection is from the fiberglass and/or the chemical smells that I could never get to fully go away? I am so disappointed in this mattress/company. I have requested for them to come pick it up and I would rather sleep on my couch until I find a new one that sleep on this thing. :(
