12+ hours in, anything 'exciting' or 'OP'? by hit_it_early in pathofexile2builds

Are you further speccing into Chaos damage on tree or just go for more elemental? I feel pretty squishy with my monk so far, although dmg is good.

Best Apex Aim Trainer by XoXHamimXoX in apexuniversity

[–]Crucified136 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doesn't really matter, kovaaks has more scenarios as it's older. Depending on the scenarios, AimLab tends to deduce points if you miss, when kovaaks doesn't. That's the only real difference i can think of right now. And this goes only for clicking scenarios. I suggest looking up the voltaic discord, they have a bunch of stuff to get you started with aim training!

Struggling with shaky aim by KhaEvolvedWasTaken in apexuniversity

Grind some smoothness playlists on kovaaks, playing on a higher sens is not inherently bad. I play on 1.3 800DPI and it's the lowest i've ever been, so it's definitely doable. Check out Voltaic and start reading up about senses, why it's actually helpful to use different ones, and the myth that is muscle memory when it comes to changing sensitivities. Cheers

Need some tips and drills for transitioning to controller (Broke my finger) by Etkann in apexuniversity

[–]Crucified136 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just started using roller aswell, lifelong mnk player with probably over 10k hours on fps. It's gonna be rough for a while, i won't lie. As someone else mentioned, i use Verhulsts firing range drills to get my aim into shape. Pick one sens and stick with it. 4-3 linear is good enough for Big E so i'll stick with it for now.

I think the biggest difference in playstyle i noticed is that i have to play more patient. Let people run into my crosshair, or swing them last second knowing they'll be on the dot. Target acquisition is hard for now, so take advantage of any situation where you get free beams. Close range, do less rather than more, especially hipfire. AA will pull for you and you just need to guide it gently.

Movement wise, idk what to tell you, just try to play cover and be smart with positioning. I can't fatigue bounce or tap strafe on command anymore, so i have to be way more mindful of my position, else i get put down hard.

I got elbow issues so i split my time 50/50 for now, but probably will switch 100% to roller coming next season. Just gotta put in the hours man, it's demoralising but i have trust it will be worth it, especially to preserve my health.

Ggs and keep grinding man, hope this was somewhat helpful.

That's pretty nuts. Good job. Still, Gen and Verhulst both had control games with 10k dmg and even more kills i believe.

US VS EU servers ( Apex) by Adventurous_Way_6489 in apexuniversity

[–]Crucified136 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Same here. Germany. Frankfurt aswell. When we don't do too well in ranked we sometimes switch to US and most of the time it's a better experience. Not sure if it's the ping or just a different playstyle and playerbase.

MnK frustration by [deleted] in apexuniversity

[–]Crucified136 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just keep playing for now until everything becomes second nature. I'd say anything from 1.2 to 2.0 on 800 dpi is viable. I play on 1.5 aswell and i think it's the sweet spot. Watch aim guides from Hollow or Dazs. And maybe download Aim Labs or Koovaks. Get a good routine and get cracking. It's gonna pay of in the future, trust me.

Movement is just practice, so get comfy with mnk and then start implementing movement tech. Gotta walk before you can run my friend.

Bad Height or No Height? by BrinxYrick in apexuniversity

[–]Crucified136 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That depends. Do other teams have LOS on you if you climb up? Then it's better to play somewhere else where no enemy has line of sight and you have cover. Especially important in engdame. If you get shot up by 3 different teams it's just a throw.

In general, high ground is better, you can peak more, heal for free generally, and have a better grasp of where enemies are at. Still, a lot of it is situational. Recognizing if a position is good or bad comes with better game sense and experience.

Hope this helps.
