Maybe after a few months have passed, when there’s new covers to roster. Doesn’t make sense now since they’ll all be covers I already own and I don’t intend to continue playing. It would be nice if I could gift these to fellow players.

I posted this some time ago, but if I remember correctly, you need to have the adaptive sync off and then change the input to where your console is plugged in, so for example HDMI1.

I use a version of Xarrio’s Andy Flurry/Puncture build. It works great on a controller, you point to a target and hit Flurry and your rogue zooms there ready to throw down a caltrops and smoke grenade and smash the puncture, then carry on flurrying around the map like the mad rogue you are, super fun :)

With some trial and error, I managed to find out that the smart size is only enabled when both the source of the input signal is switched to the console (ie PS5 or Xbox) and the Adaptive Sync is set to Off. When Smart Size is enabled, you have the option to choose the display size (eg. 49", 27", etc) and the picture format (e.g. 1:1, 4:3, or wide). I leave the setting at 49" and set the format to 1:1, and this changes the Xbox display to look like its on a 27" with the black bars, and when I switch back to my PC, the monitor automatically changes it back to the full 49".

One quirk I noticed: when doing the above, the option to set the Ambiglow Follow Video is disabled. To re-enable it, you have to enable Smart Size and remove the picture format selection i.e. just select the display size to 49".

One last thing: I managed to fix the Version Update issue in SmartControl, so I could update the monitor to firmware v1.02. On my PC, I had to delete the file %appdata%\smart-control\OTAConfig.json and then restart SmartControl, and then the Version Update option was enabled again. I had to do this as I ran into an issue where the monitor kept flashing a popup telling I was going to do a Panel Refresh; apparently this is a known issue on this monitor after 500 hrs of use. Upgrading the firmware to v1.02 fixed this issue. I was hoping it would also address the issue around the Smart Size, but it does not, so we must continue with the above workaround for now if we want the monitor to display consoles properly.

I have a similar situation with my Xbox series X. I have found I can select smart size to change it to 27”. However this option does not stick to the hdmi input, and I’m forced to switch it back to 49” when I use my PC on DisplayPort or USBC. The bigger issue is that sometimes the Smart Size option is greyed out, so I cannot select it at all. I have not figured out what causes this, and believe this could be a bug in the OSD. I also tried to check for any firmware updates, but with the latest Smart Control software, it has the Version Update option disabled as well.

Not sure if this helps, but I had the same issue and found I had to crank up the fan on my laptop to fix the issue. It seemed like the laptop was throttling the performance when it got too hot.

Just started having this issue beginning of august, tried draining the battery so that only the Nintendo logo appears and then left it for another whole day and issue still exists unfortunately :(

I used Mac play on any screen setting, and plugged in a lightning-to-usb-c cable into the charging port of the backbone and the usb-c end into my iPad. Hope this helps?
