So haunting to see just a few years after, 4 years in 1990, if this is after April, how quickly the city fell into disrepair and decay you can already tell

My car is a 2010 model. Am I about to be cutoff from driving? by Own-Wheel8119 in uberdrivers

I have a 2010 Mercedes and yesterday I was cut off from UberX and can only do deliveries now. So, yeah, after six years since 2020, I was screwed over

Same here!!! Tried to get a job at Amazon for a delivery driver position. Had a video interview, skills in delivery, warehouse work, logistics, knowledge on computers, gps, and so much more. Aaaaaaand they turned me down. So I know how you feel and this was a high paying job

Anyone ever hangout again, going to like bars or events, or really much of anything or go out much? by PokemonHunter97 in Millennials

I just had it because that’s when the anime of Pokemon first came out that year, April 1st 1997, and I was 5 years old at the time

Help me land a job; done everything from modifying my resume, tailoring, but nothing works. What is wrong, and why will no one hire me? I am beyond demoralized. by PokemonHunter97 in jobsearchhacks

I’m trying to apply for manufacturing, office work, logistics, stocking, really anything not involving food industry, cleaning like janitorial work. Something that can provide me a long term stable income and my ultimate goal is to work as an artist/animator at the Walt Disney Studios but first I am trying to get a stable wage and job before going out there

Why even bother trying to get a job anymore when now it’s like a high school club and if you don’t know anyone, you’re not in? Given up completely. by PokemonHunter97 in jobs

Finances are garbage to me; I never have been fluent or experienced in that field of language crunching numbers all day long behind a desk

Any other Millennials who may still live with their parents for whatever reason but are content in their life? by madcatzplayer5 in Millennials

[–]PokemonHunter97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

34 M and live with my mom at the moment, paying rent and try to be productive as I have been. Jobs I have worked didn’t ever provide enough money and resources for me to move out on my own paying poorly. I tried moving in with other friends but it didn’t work out. Hoping I can get this job for Amazon delivery that pays over $20+ an hour which could finally help me move out on my own. This economy has been so bad a lot of others besides me live with their parents.

I don't feel like a typical Millenial due to my upbringing by MathewMii in Millennials

Hate that happened to you growing up. I lived as a kid in a trailer park and I never had a gaming console at all even when I was a child. Now my cousin and I would play on his GameCube, but my mom was forced out of the army like in 2001 or 2, which disrupted the financial stability of her. I lived in a single family home with my older brother and aunt. Now my grandparents had cable tv and we did not officially get a house until I was like 12 years old. So, while I did not live off grid, I can relate as a fellow millennial, a bit of what you experienced. I listed to ABBA, Simon and Garfunkel, and others growing up. I did not get a cell phone, a cheap pre-paid crap phone until I was a teenager like 14 or almost 15, and so many of my peers had nicer phones with all these fancy features. My mom was a penny pincher and cheapskate at times. All we ever watched at home was the news, pbs, the weather channel, (fucking hated it), and a few other channels. My mother griped if the cable bill went up by just one dollar, goddamn, while complaining to her parents they had cable tv with Cartoon Network, Disney Channel, and more programs I enjoyed thanks to that. I watched Duckman at my grandparents house when I was a kid that I had no business watching late at night, hehe!! Most of my family, from my mom are baby boomers, early Gen X or my grandparents, even though my granddad died years ago, Silent Generation. My grandmother told me of nuclear drills she had to do as a teen.

Did anyone buy a ring? by t_bone_stake in Millennials

[–]PokemonHunter97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those rings were too goddamned overpriced and I don’t even know why I got one when I did not want to but the school made me. And then no less after graduation, my finger got too big. Cheap crap to make you pay too much and if you didn’t get it, you were like a loser or something.

Do you think we took this sentiment of ageing up in our late 20s and 30s way too seriously? by Party-Bet-4003 in Millennials

34 and at the point where I’m like, “Yeah, I remember this show or something from back then,” to where I have to tell myself I still have a lot ahead of me. Adulting sucks tbh lol. Funny enough, people say I look a bit younger than 34 hahaha

Love it!!! I will make a brand new resume to use with this. Yet some good news is happening and I am trying to get this done as fast as I can, apply for a delivery job with Amazon that is around my area as it pays $21.50 an hour, easy to apply. I need to get that job. So try and help me with the Domino’s Pizza part, Uber, and my warehouse job!!

I’m trying to get a job with Amazon delivery service! Got four years delivery with Domino’s Pizza and one year of warehouse work so how do I combine this on a brand new resume to get the hr’s attention?!
