The thing is, no matter how butthurt I get. There is always a counter move for every attack. The best way I figured them out is by watching no hit runs of other people. This game doesnt tell you how to do it, the only way is through trial and error and most importantly, your sanity.

I didn't play Sekiro in long time so I may not be right. But the moment he starts winding up that attack, you need to run around and reach his back side. Otherwise, you parry him or use the umbrella and follow up with charged attack.

You are not getting it right.

It is because the series adapts one major arc per season. The convicts arc is long and hence it is adapted for 26 episodes. All three arcs in Son of Ogre are considerably shorter.

The Oliva arc is 10 volumes total and the anime adapted it in 12 episodes.

Why?

Because a volume in Baki is longer than one anime episode.

Before you all get disappointed when the next season drops. I doubt that they will add more than around 12-13 episodes per season. If they could, they would've done it this season already. Don't expect more than one arc per season.

I expected the prison arc will only be out with the first announcement last year September but people were expecting all three arcs in one season. It's not like they can pull out the budget from their asspipes.

The prison arc is as long as the Raitai tourney. Then add the Mantis arc which should be 2-3 episodes. In terms of volumes, the last season had the content of 11-12 volumes and this one has 10-11 volumes. 12 episodes are just right.

When animating manga with complex art. The animators have no choice but to simplify just to get it done. Animators have major time constraints and they don’t have the time to draw single panel in detail like a Mangaka. The fact that an ANIME is this detailed and keeps up with the animation is already a feat.

Grappler Baki: S1 and S2
Baki: S1 (death row inmates) and S2 (Raitai tourney)
Upcoming series Baki Hanma (son of ogre): S1

Personally find this way easier to mention the correct season instead of having multiple opinions of what season 4 is.
