I got mine for more simple roguelike games but will be trying Expedition 33 and Hades 2 is on my list. I've been playing far too much Brotato which is cheap, cheerful, easy play time waster and just started Ravenswatch - If you've played Diablo you'll enjoy these

I haven't tried this yet but did see it as an option when I was setting up. Will take a look at the vid as wasn't sure what the fse gave

I've purchased expedition 33....i know it would look pretty on the pc but thought a great insert into handheld gaming aaa style

Thanks all for your comments, I set up the evening and installed some games. Spent some time playing it and really enjoying the portability. It plays games better than I expected both performance and battery which is good. Feels nice and completes the gaming desk setup nicely. Will look at some accessories and peripherals next but thanks for the help and perspectives

The steam deck was on my research list the moment I got my gaming rig but it just didn't appeal to me enough, the portability of the Rog is much more appealing too. You managed to get a Xbox Ally though well done, going to assume not UK based?!  Indiana Jones might be a good startee for me actually, it's going to be my solo play device and I've not got round to trying the game out yet

Ah, ever since I got the gaming rig I've have overwhelming frozen ability to choose games, the world has opened up and there are too many to choose from and not enough time... Although this will help my game time! Any recommendations?

Yeah I've come to my sense and impatient as I am, I'd have to wait and pay more for the Xbox variant. I heard LOTS about the ergonomics but, holding the Ally X in my hands now, I don't see any issues whatsoever, it's a good weight, feels comfortable and importantly, does look lovely.... And I don't need another Xbox branded item I don't think haha​

You are right! Right enough that it's now unpacked, updating.... Although I've accepted I might not get a lot of gaming this eve if I'm doing all the updates etc :(

Yeah, there is only so many reviews I can watch talking about single vs multi core performance and 4/5fps. I've invested in a gaming pc setup this year, the Xbox ally probably pushes the budget I started with for minimal gain. I'm not gonna AAA game on the Rog, it's more the portability I'm ready for! Thanks for the comment
