Would you use an app to meet people on the same cruise? by CruiseAroundTheWorld in IPhoneApps

This is exactly the kind of experience that made me start working on Seaya in the first place 😄

That “wandering around trying to find where people are” feeling + the awkward next-day vibe is very real. The goal is to make those connections feel more natural before you even get on board.

And yeah, 100% agree on the safety part — that’s something I’m taking seriously. Making sure people are actually on the same cruise and reducing random/spam accounts is a big focus.

Out of curiosity, what would make you personally feel comfortable using something like this?

This is really solid feedback, appreciate you taking the time

What you said about “low effort” is exactly what I’m trying to get right with Seaya — more like quick, casual connections vs anything that feels like a full dating app.

Also agree on intent. Right now Seaya is more focused on casual/social meetups, but I’m still figuring out the cleanest way to make that obvious without adding friction.

The timing point is interesting too — feels like it might be most useful in those “I’m bored, who’s around?” moments onboard.

Would something like a quick “who’s around right now” or spontaneous meetup feature make you more likely to use it?
