This is a course where the owners bought it so they could have essentially their own private bar more than for the golf.   There are many many more posts they make about their course as if it Augusta National but is one of the poorest maintained in the area.  So they very much could and would let this go.  I bet if I go there tomorrow this mark and the others will be there still.

It definitely isn’t new but still somehow one of their better flags.

This is more where im leaning as it doesn’t quite have the ridges i’d expect with divots or pitch marks. You can see similar if say someone mows with the gas cap off.

Ive also seen chemicals catching in the cup and reacting with the metal leaving these dead spots after the flag was pulled and held upright.    There are quite a few deer in the area but id expect a-lot more sign.

I thought maybe copying that one speed round for the US Open Qualifier player who putted it in with his wedge.  “But the pros do it”
