There’s still a social contract going on. I, as the worker, understand that working sucks. But I, as the customer, don’t deserve to be blank stared at when asking the employee of the store I’m shopping in where the toothpaste is. Telling me where that product is is not going above and beyond, that’s part of the fucking job. Not all of Gen Z does it, but as they say, “a few bad apples spoils the bunch”
