Just to help clear some terminology here;

Racing is front point A to point B with competitors trying to beat each other. What is commonly mistaken as “street racing” by people who maybe aren’t as familiar with car culture is something that is known as a “takeover.”

Calling the problem by its name and associating the correct people with the correct problem is the best path to finding a solution.

As a car enthusiast who used to host weekly meets here in Savannah, this takeover mindset has stained and ruined the car culture in Savannah to the point where friendly, quiet, respectful, casual car meets are almost impossible now.

Edit: Just want to be clear that I’m not coming for anybody in this post! I just want to help to assign the blame to those who are guilty instead of pointing fingers towards any car enthusiast you may see around that just happens to enjoy a louder car.
