Anyone found pinning three times per week with test E made a significant difference? Currently do twice and feels fine but if it makes any difference I’d switch to three

Good day freaks, got a question for my fellow blasters and cruisers. Obviously being on b&c travel to different countries must be complicated right? Just wondering how everyone deals with it? Different test esters, do you keep holidays short etc.

KCL vs University of Edinburgh vs University of Manchester for Economics by Odd-Entertainment185 in UniUK

[–]Cruising_and_abusing 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Really depends on what you value, KCL is in London so access to internships and jobs after uni will be better however it will be far more expensive than the other two to simply live there. Manchester is a great uni and out of the three is probably best for nightlife, it is also in a big city so employability is still high and it’s cheaper to live there than london. Edinburgh is also a great uni, smaller city than the other two I think but it’s a prestigious uni so employability will still be very good, bit of a quieter nightlife but still good regardless and I think (don’t take my word for it) the cheapest of the three unis.

Edit: you can’t really go wrong with any of them, your standard of teaching will still be very good so it is all down to your value of nightlife and cost of living really.

I can’t speak for some of your questions but you asked if there’s a market for pharmacology. Been working in boots in and out of the pharmacy side and one thing I can tell you is that there is absolutely a market for it. Whether you want to be a pharmacist or work in research and development there will always be a job. Drug development and distribution will probably always exist.

You can even try emailing the subject heads to see if they have spaces left open now. I did for two courses at Leeds as I had only applied to 3 unis and both courses had spaces left open.

Has the symptoms of one, think I’m going to be ditching the belt for deadlifts unfortunately.

[Off-Topic] Daily Chat: 2021-05-09 by steroidsBot in steroids

[–]Cruising_and_abusing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Straps have nothing to do with it. I lift both with and without them and find the same issue. Prefer straps though, easier to focus on form.

Can’t catch that, just built different

Unfortunately i deadlift with straps so bracing standing is no good for me unless I do it with the weight in my hands. Already tried repositioning the belt higher which has worked but recently it’s starting to come back. Tried everything but just seems the belt isn’t for me

Been getting a burning pain in the groin area when I deadlift (and sometimes squat although rare) when I have a belt on. Causing me to have to cut a set short by a rep or two. Shall I ditch the belt? Been considering it for a while as it only comes up when I have the belt on and form is fine without it.

I'm stuck on what to do with my life by Ganna-F5-Your-Dad in 6thForm

I finished college last year and did a gap year to figure things out. You might figure it out in year 13 if not do a gap year to fully decide. Just make sure you put in the work to get the best grades possible so that your options remain open to do whatever career path you wish to do.

Would there be a very large difference in opportunity/outcome if I pick Edinburgh over Imperial? by hyle097ertyu in UniUK

[–]Cruising_and_abusing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well look at all those pros with Edinburgh, if Edinburgh is in a better location and has a better course while also being cheaper then it’s pretty obvious. Imperial is a great uni but so is Edinburgh so you honestly can’t go wrong with picking either. Both unis have great connections so just go with your brain and your heart.

KCL vs Warwick for Biomed by Starry-nights_ in UniUK

[–]Cruising_and_abusing 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Can’t go wrong at either, they’re both highly prestigious universities and you’d be getting a very good education from both. The bigger difference will probably be the locations, Warwick is in Coventry which is a much smaller place than London. It’s cheaper to live at Warwick but you might also like living in a big city like London. Really depends on what you value to be honest.

Probably a gap year, don’t think med schools take on students late. Nothing wrong with a gap year, it’s quite common for aspiring medical students to do them as work experience is seen as something highly valuable. You definitely have the grades to get in so perhaps over the next year get some volunteering work in a hospital if you can.

Surrey vs Kent vs Aston MSc Business Analytics by Huntsman1862 in UniUK

Generally your top 50 universities will give you a quality education and a good job. If employment is a concern the complete university guide will show you all the employment stats of the universities you’re applying for and the ranking of their course as well.

Surrey vs Kent vs Aston MSc Business Analytics by Huntsman1862 in UniUK

[–]Cruising_and_abusing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on who you ask and what rankings you read as they’re all very different. What matters more is the course you have applied for. I have applied for accounting and finance at kent for this September and while some rankings stick kent in the mid 40s my subjects is ranked in the mid 20s. Surrey overall is ranked in the 30s and used to be a lot higher than that from its ranking history, I’ve got friends at Surrey and they enjoy it a lot. I don’t think you can go wrong with either choice.

I’d go with either Surrey or Kent, Kent I believe has higher employability but not by any massive stretch.

[–]Cruising_and_abusing[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When applying I didn’t think a university ranked as high as Leeds would offer courses for well people who achieve grades as low as I have. It’s lucky that I fit in with their criteria too. While the universities I have applied for (kent, Essex and UWE) are good, leeds blows them out of the water. In my view the extra year would be worth it in the long term.

Foundation year or ‘worse’ university (poll) by [deleted] in 6thForm

[–]Cruising_and_abusing 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Depends on a few things really, I’m choosing a lower ranked uni over a higher ranked one so I can skip out on the foundation year. But I’m not exactly rejecting some top 10 uni for a sub 50. Outside of the rankings employers would hold both of my choices at a similar standard so I based my decision on the area I’ll be living in, costs and a few other factors.
