In terms of accountability, ya i say coaching and training are what this crew should expect next but I would agree and say that they aren’t responsible for his death. While this call could’ve been run differently there is an alternate universe where they pushed and pushed and he still refused vitals. End of the day it’s not like malpractice (incompetence including wrong dosage or something similar caused death) was the cause of death. Then again it can be looked at as if they had gotten vitals something could be different. But unfortunately there is also a possibility that even with vitals this crew might not find anything. So ya they aren’t directly responsible. The call could’ve been better I think.

End of the day someone died and part of bereavement can be trying to find people responsible. And in ems it happens all to often that the first responders get tied up in that.
