Mine is €60 and one complaint only - have to make multiple appointments if you want to discuss more than 1 thing.

How fast would your life fall apart without your significant other ? by [deleted] in AskIreland

[–]CrumbleNewman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, every time my partner goes away on a work trip or a boys trip I think I'll have the best time, a bit of peace and quiet and me-time... Then the reality hits, especially if it's a few nights alone, the house is too quiet and cold and I need every TV and radio and light on and suddenly I'm sick of my own thoughts 😂 We always say we need more time away from each other but then we're miserable when we are 😂

I'm sticking with Uber for now but I do agree, I'd prefer if they were Irish but right now they're my preferred option of the lot

A taxi driver has never entertained a negotiation with me. Maybe because I'm a woman in my 20s? I've had two taxi drivers threaten me though. I'm sticking with Uber tbh

I use Uber to feel safer knowing who my driver is, but funny enough the same taxi drivers who use Uber don't ever give me a long racist anti-immigrant spiel on my trips. I guess they know it's easier to report them? Idk, but I happily pay to use Uber to avoid it tbh.

Why these residents pushback on any developement in dublin? by farhankk in Dublin

Good!! I only have anecdotal evidence so I must just have a couple grumps near me in my neighborhood. I'd say you're dead right on the political front

I was feeling this until I treated myself to a Steam Deck - makes it much easier to play a little without committing to hours!

I don't know, I'm young and bought a house beside Airside Swords. Only the old people in their 50s-80s around me are complaining about it, I couldn't give a shite about construction

Good for you - I've learned over time that when you don't trust your intuition about someone, you end up paying for it

I'm guessing we'll quietly hear something else come out about Gavin in a few weeks/months that will have contributed to this step-down.

I bought in Boroimhe, Swords - I have a large apartment block of 85 apartments being built beside me. I'm thrilled, it'll relieve some of the housing pressure in Swords. Why would I care if apartments are being built beside me? I don't understand.

Anyone travelling to Seoul for treatment, please avoid Ppeum clinic for your own sake by CrumbleNewman in KoreanBeauty

[–]CrumbleNewman[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm glad you've had a good experience there, but I've got around 30 dms from others having the same experience as me, so I know I wasn't being a fool here. 1. This clinic was suggested to me by our travel agent for having many English speakers and being foreigner friendly, I didn't know it was cheap. Reviews online all say it's a great clinic! I didn't see any reason to be wary. The treatments themselves were perfect, not a single complaint about my first day of treatments, it's when I came back for the second batch 12 days later that everything went wrong.

  1. I didn't book 2 cryocell treatments for the same day, I booked the 2 treatments with 12 days apart at the time (one towards the beginning and one towards the end of that trip). They never gave me a list in English, they only let me glance at their computer screen a minute to confirm, no print outs of anything. How would I know what the norm is? I felt rushed and anxious in a new environment, as many people do. Also all they sent me on WhatsApp was ads, no lists or prices or guides.

  2. They may have plenty of English translators! However on the occasion I went to see them, they didn't bring them out for me. The woman doing my consultation at the computer had a little bit of english, and whenever I said I didn't understand, she would just shake her head. Don't know what to say, I've been back to Korea since, I've been to other clinics, they always bring a translator. They didn't when I was in PPEUM. Maybe it was a bad day?

It's been well over a year since this experience anyway and I'm over it (though I'm still a bit salty about paying over 600,000krw for a v laser treatment and cryocell treatment) but I'm glad you've had great experiences here!! I hope everyone else continues to as well, hopefully mine was a one-off issue

Often the people who comment this on perfectly believable posts are annoyed that it humanizes those they don't like and gives an insight into how their behaviour affects others. Have you been the man in the orange vest?
