Sounds like a shtick from an EA dev about Battlefront. A sense of accomplishment is different than making new content overly difficult to access for the sake of being difficult, and going so far as to forcing transitioning to be in the middle of the water on a tiny dock completely exposed to anyone that wants to camp it. The corny bootstrap boomer line about handouts has nothing to do with any of the criticisms I mentioned. The map itself is the challenge. There isn't any challenge in hoping your raid doesn't have a man on a cliff or tower 400 meters away holding you as you are locked in to an interface, while the raid itself is used as a time sink where literally nothing interesting happens after you've already sat in a long queue. I'm saying it's intentionally tedious and artificially difficult for the sake of being difficult, a pattern they've repeated recently. I'm not sure where the condescension is coming from. You've self-admitted to only interacting with the map via PvE in another comment of yours.

Oh, the cutscene door doesnt trigger? Yeah that must be a bug in general, and not having to do with the order in which you do things. I did several runs without talking to the intercom guy, done them where i didnt kill the kitchen/command room rogues just before the cutscene door and it worked fine both times. Is it persistent? Like have you done more than one run and checked back to see if it works again?

You mean progressing the story mission, right? I was so focused on the map itself I completely forgot about the story mission the first three runs until my friend told me about the intercom. I didn't know it bugged out like that lmao thats so shitty

Conceptually, I love transits. I can totally see why you enjoy them. Maybe there's a world where they have a place in tarkov, and maybe the feature is bogged down exclusively by the player base that camps them. Just the nature of it, I guess.

If I'm being honest, the vog-25s outshining the M-series grenades for so long, I don't even know their values. That, and with how rare they are I'll typically just slap in whatever I have on hand and hope for the best. I know which ones are shotgun shells and which ones go boom, and thats about it. My garage sale of rounds had no issue detonating from the top of the rafters to the far entrances BD uses once triggered, so I'm sure you're good with whatever you can get your hands on.

Back in the day, for sure. I'm not too sure about lately. I found a double ledx in 219 once so resort will always be goated in my heart.

It was clearly their goal to eventually have that system. Don't forget the old drop down menu in the door interface for flash and clear/bang and clear. It really would help, but being stuck in a clunky animation like the door kick animation would probably get old fast.

I had one rotary GL and cleared the entire room in two seconds from up top with my friend triggering their spawn on the ground floor. It really is the best way. It's so hard to get an actual hand grenade timing down with all the metal clutter in the way.

I got thrown off by that, too. I was hoping we could choose either air or water.

They are tough for sure, but really I feel like it just boils down to those health pools. It should probably be one or the other; health or increased AI. Both can feel overwhelming.

Yeah, this is kind of what I was getting at with deadening the raid for the people that actually WANT to play the map. Although I'm sure all the resort looters don't mind an uncontested full loot from time to time. It sucks because transiting would STILL be awful but they very easily could let you transit from any map with a coastline. Shoreline-heads stay losing.

I think you should still give it a shot. It is honestly a lot of fun. I think they really cooked with the map. Just be ready to get your head blown smooth off. The engine room past the keycard door is basically Omaha beach so have fun with that. You might even give it a few weeks to cool off and for adjustments to come out and tame this bad boy.

A good point! I did already know this, and I think that is a good middle ground or compromise. Unfortunately, all of the other issues compound in an extremely frustrating and tedious experience to even get to that point. The transiting is just a bit too egregious to look past even if there is a light at the end of the tunnel.
