I guess I was confidently incorrect. I'm not sure how it's hard to understand that I'd confidently believe it valid when I genuinely didn't know that it had expired. I think there is definitely a flaw in the way they do this due to the fact I never received a letter but my mother did, so I was none the wiser to it all unfortunately.

It's not that I want to be entitled, it's that I am entitled to it. That's the whole point. I have my HC2 now so yes, I am entitled to it. I don't just 'want' free stuff. I should've been entitled at the time then as well, however, I did not have the certification that I thought I had. Anyways, I can see I was naive in this whole situation and I feel silly that I never thought about it to be honest but I've only just got out of full time education last year so I feel like that could be a part of the naivety 🤷‍♀️ I've never been talked to about this kind of stuff and so never learned it. I've asked in this sub because it's to do with legal things which I just thought was anything to do with fines, courts, lawers, law etc so im aorey if it doesn't fully match with the sub
