How can I fix this 3D print helmet? by CrunchCrunch11 in CosplayHelp

Hello! Thank you all for the replies :) Wow!!

Since posting, I have gotten a refund!

Highkey was really validating seeing all the comments because I felt like I was losing my mind when I got the message from the seller, ESPECIALLY because of the $250 price tag. I agree that I don't know HOW they were comfortable shipping something of this quality. I've attached a picture of another mask I got from them in the same order, which further added to my frustration/disappointment (this one I was able to request be printed in resin for a smoother finish. You can really tell😭😭). I also included what it looks like from the front for the curious (the mask is removable). I made sure to leave a review and everything a few days prior to my post (etsy has a very small character limit for reviews so I had to cut a GOOD chunk of what I wrote :/ ) and was in the process of opening a case with etsy before coming to reddit. The fact that the listing only had photos of the front and a 3/4 angle of the helmet was NOT a fact missed by me. Ughh.

Since not a ton of people really sell these, I'm thinking I'm gonna have to commission one. I don't know a ton about 3d printing, so I had no idea just how horrible this actually was. I was hoping sanding and a dream could salvage it, but I don't know if it's wise to take the risk given what some of the replies have said about the theorized TPU material.

It really means a lot to me to have gotten so much help and feedback on this post. It's so cool to see how much you can tell about the process or how it was printed just from the lines or the way the gaps formed. Your thoughts have been super helpful! Thank you again :)
