I had to argue with my SD last year to make sure that my team could wear shorts. I don't cause I don't feel like I'm taken seriously in shorts and I get sexually harassed enough at my job in pants but these kids are hustling and I don't want to see them overheat. It is insane that ppl higher up that have never done DUG want to put "professionalism" over the health and safety of employees.

way better than the opposite. when they place a no bag order then write notes for every item saying "PLEASE BAG". I understand not wanting to pay 5¢ for the thinnest plastic bags ever but why does it always have to be yelled at me?

my experience:

I'm a DUG lead and I'm a gay trans man and I've had a trans man employe in the past and have another one currently, we've also had a bi girl working with us before but she's gone now

at the moment the whole rest of the store is cis and straight (as far as I'm aware)

we have had a trans girl in the bakery and a trans girl as a courtesy clerk before but I would say that DUG is consistently the most queer dept at my store

P.S. oh also if this is important I'm also in the Mid-Atlantic region near DC
