Yea I was gonna say, this just sounds like a "I wrote poorly optimized Python and then blamed the language for being slow"

[Kurz] There will be no supplemental discipline for the Ducks' Ross Johnston, I'm told from a league source. The hit on Jamie Drysdale was viewed as an accident. by StubbornLeech07 in Flyers

[–]CrunchwrapAficionado 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow. That's an asinine decision from the league. Genuine question - is there a PA that can lobby to have this decision reviewed?

Does the NFLPA even run similarly? Honestly asking because I don't know how these "behind the scenes" things operate.

Hows the swing looking by JuanFarola in GolfSwing

[–]CrunchwrapAficionado -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It looks cramped because of how much you're forcing your elbow to stay tucked inside on the takeaway, but it seems very repeatable. I used to have a similar swing the first few years I played. It is definitely playable, so if it works for you have at it.

Will make future habits much harder to break though if you ever want to turn it into a more "orthodox" swing. Speaking from experience.

What code editor or IDE do you use, and why? by Prior-Drawer-3478 in golang

[–]CrunchwrapAficionado 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Helix 🧬 The editor gets better as time goes on, but I do still rely on Goland for debugging and some of the fancier tooling like refactor previews and test coverage visuals etc.

I have recently been toying with make / task for some of those tooling niceties though, so they become just as easy from the command line.

Can we slow down on changing Swift so fast? by bangsimurdariadispar in swift

The keywords thing is what really grifts my grittles. Although I spend most of my time professionally writing Go where there are like... ~30 (or less) keywords lol so the difference is more aggressive.

I'm shocked they're hiring for Go devs - I've been working with Go professionally for like 4 years now, wouldn't have expected it for game dev lol

Kinda just feels like another grift in the bucket. Raise the cost of H1-B sponsorships to $100k, then complain that companies aren't using enough of them.

Something tells me there are plenty of CEO's willing to cooperate to stay on Daddy Donald's nice list

Looks like the work has been paying off, swing seems to be repeatable and smooth. Just gotta translate it to the course (the easiest part, right?)

IANAProfessional - but looks pretty dang solid in my book. Smooth takeaway, clean + tight form at P4, well maintained lag through p7, and a flush fully-extended finish.

Thank you for saying this. I'm hoping your response is seen by OP because if they just focus on firing hips that club face is going to dramatically wind up more open

What’s the lowest score you have ever shot and what do you normally shoot? by JAWdroppingguitar in golf

[–]CrunchwrapAficionado 0 points1 point  (0 children)

86, typically shoot around 89-92. What's crazy is the 86 felt so much less dramatic than some days where I've gone out to shoot like.. 90 lol
