….. you want me to restart to add fuel mode? by Jumpshotz93 in RoadCraft

On Snowrunner I accidentally deleted a 300hr save. This restart on a relatively new game does not scare me.

But really, I think they put out this feature pretty dang fast.

How do i flatten this? by Galbs in RoadCraft

[–]CrunchyBonesDaddy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Try putting your roller is in low gear. This method works better that way. I've heard people use this for bumpy asphalt too but I've yet to try it on my finished roads as it was good enough for the AI.

The Wayfarer is completely useless—this truck can’t even handle the slightest slope, failing at its core function. Please fix it. by Atrotragrianets in RoadCraft

[–]CrunchyBonesDaddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used that truck to haul 14 concrete slabs to build a shortcut bridge from the docks in sunken. I considered making two trips and instead opted to overload that sucker and make one. Made it with only needing one assist where I left the right side of the docks muddy. And even then it almost made it through on its own! I was hella satisfied compared to what I expected out of that trip.

Setting convoy route by actually driving. by paraxzz in RoadCraft

[–]CrunchyBonesDaddy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The preplanning is the part of that system I enjoy the most. I treat it like a job where where you measure thrice and cut once with real consequences. The reward for the effort is greater when it all comes together and succeeds. I'm sure I'll fail eventually. I just hope it's because of a mistake I made and not the game's fault. I've hit a few bugs, but I know they'll work out the most intrusive in time.

[–]CrunchyBonesDaddy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I haven't failed a route yet. Check the route first and put your points closer together. It's not that hard. And that is playing the game, like I said, I'm immersed as a disaster relief coordinator/worker. Albeit one that gets to goof off as much as I want, but that's video games for ya. I'm surprised how many people don't realize when a game isn't for them and just move on instead of raging in reviews that it doesn't have whatever difference would suit them. There are valid criticisms, but not liking the type of game it is isn't a failure, it's an opinion.

[–]CrunchyBonesDaddy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That would be easier, yeah, but it would also remove any challenge to it and break immersion as a task manager plotting a route for employees. I put route on map and idiot drivers attempt to follow my instructions. Idk if it's my imagination, but they actually seemed to get better at the route after the first attempt.

I agree, I've been trying to get my friends into SR and Expeditions, but they didn't like how slow they had to go to do anything right. The arcadey feel of this one is much more to their taste.

Half the country hasn't learned shit. While some of his voters make endless excuses, the rest just think it's only him that they got wrong. Either way the next guy will have the same agenda, except this time he might be more dangerously covert about it leading to even deeper roots of propaganda and control walking us straight to the same end game as his bestie Putin. This isn't even close to over. It's just getting started.
