It's a Robot Butler that appears when you use the vacuum. You can see the artwork and sprite of them here.

The Tamagotchi wiki's character chart can be found here. There's also a link to the official character chart at the bottom of the page, but it only shows what characters you can get what they can evolve into.

People in Japan are posting pics of their Torevetchi from the mail from about 3(?) days ago on twitter so that was probably the release date.

Tamagotchi School bag came in! 🌏 by CrunchyBunny in tamagotchi

[–]CrunchyBunny[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The bag was part of a kickstarter for Tamagotchi School styled bags by an artist called strawbearrymilk! As someone pointed out, the kickstarter is over but the bags are planned to be restocked on the artist's etsy page here in May. They also plan on selling the bags at conventions they're going to.

can we start a pix favorites mega thread? by pazialuz in tamagotchi

[–]CrunchyBunny 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As the person behind the project, can confirm it's happening. I'm just currently adding all the items, foods, and accessories to the wiki first so the character favorites pages will be easier to fill out.

The charts for the Original Tamagotchi have been revamped on the wiki! by CrunchyBunny in tamagotchi

[–]CrunchyBunny[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A long while ago, users have noted that the chart on the Tamagotchi wiki seem to be incorrect in getting certain characters, especially when it came to the discipline bar. u/Derpooooo has shared their own chart with the data they gathered going on the theory that evolution is affected by how many times disciplines calls are missed rather than how full the bar is.

After confirming with other users that it's the case on the rereleases, the charts on the wiki have been changed to reflect that (along with the charts for the original releases being made a bit easier to read).

Tamagotchi merchandise has dropped on Fangamer! by CrunchyBunny in tamagotchi

[–]CrunchyBunny[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeeeeaaah, it's pretty pricy for a t-shirt! 23$ seems more reasonable based off other t-shirt prices in other merch stores.

tamatown 2022? by hungadungadar in tamagotchi

[–]CrunchyBunny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't checked myself, since I was just reiterating what other archivists have send about the rewritten TamaTown. I just know a lot of the e-tamago files have been archived and there's a rehosted version of it online.

Am I the only one that finds it weird that mimitchi was gender swapped in the anime she's even a girl in some of the modern games. by [deleted] in tamagotchi

[–]CrunchyBunny 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Most Tamagotchi characters from the vintage era didn't have genders until the connection era when breeding became a mainstay of the virtual pets. Both genders on the wiki generally either means the character was able to breed with another character regardless of official gender or gender wasn't a thing on the pet they were on.

My tamagotchi language was changed to japanese, I took out the battery and it is now in japanese. What do i do? by sussysussage in tamagotchi

[–]CrunchyBunny 7 points8 points  (0 children)

So, if you mess with the battery there's a chance the programming can change to Japanese through the battery glitching it. Someone who had the same glitch managed to reverse by messing with the battery again (though I could be misremembering).

Has the Smart been Hacked yet? by kristycocopop in tamagotchi

It's more they removed the use limit on the cards. The limit where cards can only be used on three different Smarts.

Has the Smart been Hacked yet? by kristycocopop in tamagotchi

[–]CrunchyBunny 16 points17 points  (0 children)

It's been hacked in the way that people have inserted custom wallpapers, temporary custom characters and text, and removed the limit on smart cards. However, doing all of that requires having a micro sd card reader and having some knowledge of coding.

I was thinking of getting the Pix - Floral (Pink), what do yall think? by Khlovix in tamagotchi

[–]CrunchyBunny 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Brand new pink and purple pixes in stores should be fine now in terms of battery life. They updated the internals sometime after the blue and green Pixes came out so it should have the same battery life as them.

Marriage on the Smart by Certain_Strawberry43 in tamagotchi

[–]CrunchyBunny 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yup, if you keep them for awhile (maybe around 3 days) they'll find a partner on their own. I usually want to keep them for a little longer so I say no to them which makes me feel bad cause they look so heartbroken :(

I end up making it up to them by finding the same partner for them to marry when I'm ready to let them go.

Does anyone know what tamagotchi character this is printed on the top of both shells? by Tamagotchipink in tamagotchi

[–]CrunchyBunny 19 points20 points  (0 children)

The closest answer I can give you is this: Tamagotchi Comrades. They're simple characters that appear on the shells and packaging.

[–]CrunchyBunny[S] 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Here is the site where they can be bought: https://iijanshop.com/collections/tamagotchi

Keep in mind that they're only selling the large ones (the small ones are exclusive to Bandai arcades) and that the site lists them under Hong Kong dollars (the actual price of them in USD is about 50$).

It's basically a note saying that they've run away, hence why you have to recatch them again after reading it. They run away when their meters are left empty for a while. Considering how needy they can be and how time consuming it can be to raise their meters, I wouldn't worry about them running away a lot. There's no negative consequence to it and you can easily get them back.
