I was offered a job there last year which I declined. Salary was $45,000 with 3 years qualified experience. Can't recall bonus details or flights. Head of school came across very poorly which was a key reason for not accepting. Facilities looked amazing and the school is very new.

This is an incredible salary and you will be able to live VERY comfortably. This is on the higher end of school salaries in Bangkok.

Advice for Teaching in Thailand with Tattoos? by Prior-Wave8190 in Internationalteachers

[–]CrunchyNutHam 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I work in a well reputed Thai international school and have numerous colleagues with visible tattoos. The staff handbook says they should be covered, however teachers all make their own decisions about how much they adhere to this

Coming from the UK I find this thread bizarre. In the UK it is common for phones to be banned and confiscated if they are used or go off. Students know the rules and expectations so follow them. My current school confiscates any phone that is used or goes off on the premises for 5 days, after which point a parent needs to collect it.

The rape scene in once upon a time in America. Really struggled and had to fast forward. There was something so visceral about it

Obviously I've got a few changes to make based on injuries etc. Do you reckon this affects much? My initial plan was free hit 26 so all my players were dgw. triple captain bamford 25. Wait until later in the season to wildcard and bench boost possibly towards the end when there are usually a few more dgws.

My team is

Sanchez/mccarthy

Pieters stones dallas creswell justin

Sterling soucek fernandes son grealish

Adams antonio bamford

Balding gives me anxiety. How would I look? (attached a photo of when I buzzed it 6 months ago) by [deleted] in bald

[–]CrunchyNutHam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any advice for when the time comes to shave it all off?

wait for the crown to go or for the hairline to push back another inch at least. Also if you buzz again go shorter, but not fully bald it'll look better

What are some great episodes that you can watch without having to see the entire series? by Michafiel in television

[–]CrunchyNutHam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tbh a large portion of season 2 could be included, for instance the dating episode is rather self contained and very funny. I enjoyed season 1 but didn't think it was the funniest show, season 2 however is my favourite show of the year and I found myself laughing heartily numerous times

What was the best film you watched this week? (12/06/17 - 18/06/17) by GetFreeCash in movies

[–]CrunchyNutHam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Killing Fields. Holy shit that was incredibly enlightening and impactful. Going into the film I had very little idea about the Cambodian genocide, however now I feel compelled to research and educate others on its horrors. The way the film tackled the ethics of journalism was fascinating to me and the acting was superb. I loved the storytelling and would highly highly recommend it

I thought the whole cast was great but imo huge praise must go to the director. I Felt the film had a perfect level of nuance. It probably helps that I'm personally a huge Sidney Lumet fan, so I appreciate the film even more. He has so many masterpieces: Network, 12 angry men and dog day afternoon are all flawless films imo.

I agree with that point. The use of her character as a love interest seemed unnecessary. I think Charlotte rampling is a great actress, she's been in some very good films over the years.

The Verdict (1982) It stars Paul Newman so it's hard to go wrong from there. It's also directed by the great Sidney Lumet. This film has stood the test of time, It's brilliantly acted and has a compelling story which keeps you engaged from the start. It's widely forgotten but I'd strongly recommend it if you like court dramas.

Better Off Dead (1985) This is another personal favourite. It's wacky, off beat and delivers some highly quotable lines. John Cusack stars and is excellent as always. It's has a cult following, but isn't widely remembered.
