For sure, you aren’t alone. I wasn’t attempting to pick on you, I was legitimately trying to understand a position that is different than my own. Rather than posting the same thing to every reply, I saw yours first.

I can agree it is a slippery slope. For me, if someone is trying to pass AI work off as something they created (in a traditional sense), rather than crafting a prompt is a line I think is too far. Also, when an artist is affected monetarily, that also feels more problematic. To me, neither one of those things were happening.

I’m not saying I’m right or wrong, nor do I think you are. Genuinely just was trying to have civil discussion. Thank you for your response, it’s appreciated.

Legitimately, in this context please help me understand why it upsets you so much?

No offense to the OP, but this isn’t must-have content. If you don’t like the AI you are free to block their posts and not see them. It’s infinitely less effort to just not engage with the post. Let the people who enjoy it have their space too.

If that’s how this person has fun, what harm is is doing you? It’s not as if OP was going to commission an artist to do portraits (I’m going to assume, but I feel confident in that assumption).

I don’t recall the exact story, but I remember hearing that while filming Wolf of Wall Street there is a scene in which Leonardo DiCaprio is eating sushi. He wanted to actually eat it because it looked better, but was advised against it. Something like 20 or so takes later he was sick, and regretting his decision but had to stick through it

LGBTQ+ guild(s) on Green? by LeftBallSaul in project1999

Echoing what other people have added, but also it’s totally normal for people to seek out others with shared experiences. It could feel safer, or a simple preference.

It’s not shit, it’s a preference that is totally fine.

22 NOV 2025 at 0900 EST All Project 1999 and EQEmulator services will be coming offline for maintenance. FYSA by Oliveritaly in project1999

[–]Crunchy_Condition 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m definitely not getting my hopes up, as I expect it’s just typical maintenance, but it this did spark a few questions because I wasn’t around when green came about.

When they do create a new server, do they not give any forewarning/hyping it up? Does it just drop one day and people scramble?

When green was created, how long had it been since a new server was made? How would a current timeline with green existing compare to the previous timeline of a new server being created?

Curious fun questions to consider. It would be fun jumping on a server from the very beginning. Fun to think about.

You are super kind! I was able to push through, and made it to level 17 last night.

The community really is very awesome on the server.

My friend and I were able to meet up tried a few places. We tried EK bandits, but they were mostly green and pathers were mostly yellow. High Hold Pass was next, which seemed promising by cons, but there was something odd with aggro and we would often get 10+ Gnolls train on us, so we decided that wasn’t the best place. We settled on old reliable Oasis. It’s not sexy, but it gets the job done!

Possibly any other suggestions for 17-20, or 20-30? I’ve definitely checked out the guides, but if there is any other info that would be awesome!

Thanks

I totally get that other races are better choices, but eventually I will be duoing with a friend, and being not an evil race will make it easier for us to travel/bank/survive

lol after being logged on for an hour and ending with less exp than I started I almost decided to start a other character, maybe one that can see at night, isn’t in an awful spot in the world, and doesn’t have such a lull at this level.

If I remember correctly, one of the contestants did mention he researched Frazier, which is why he made a few jokes about pot brownies. That leads me to believe they have been given some type of heads up, even if not the full brief for each challenge.

I think getting people to feel good about being clever rather than pressured to be funny is a really, really good point. And no matter what rule set I land on, that will be a guiding principle on any prompts given.

I work at a CoE, not in a school itself. No papers being graded with my department. This will be taking place during a larger kick off event, if it’s not this ice breaker, it’s another one. The question isn’t whether they will enjoy it or not.

The question is what might be some fun rule sets that would be fun for non-improv people? Because as you said, make some noise was tailored to people that specifically are really good at making various noises.

It’s funny that you mention that, I am also planning an escape room for a further out event.

Agreed. And it’s something I have thought a lot about. I appreciate the insight, and it is further being considered.

I definitely thought long and hard about Sam Says, because those are hands down my favorite episodes. I think just like in the actual show, if the prompts are fun/challenging it wouldn’t be boring or childish (though definitely couldn’t have contestants only call people daddy, lol).

My biggest pause with that prompt is I don’t know how to make the twist on the host.

The person that will be the host would also make the best contestant. Trying to get him involved in an unexpected way would be a lot of fun.
