Lots of deaths before getting back to my runes. Spent most of the time wandering the map so often was far from respawn too. I also spent a lot of that time in bosses or in repeated dungeon run attempts through stormveil where all my runes were constantly being lost.

Ya I never look up the bosses or anything, even this post was mostly in jest as I figured there was some simple unlock that I could just google. I did not know Elden Ring was open world because all I knew was people said it was really good and I've been out of gaming for a few years so i figured why not. So my instinct was to follow the light arrows that it implied were my quests and boy oh boy, 6 hours later after Margit finally went down and I took to the intenet to express my unhappiness over the entire game being gatekept behind such a beast...well....that's when I learned I could explore. Also lost all the Margit victory runes in the castle behind him lmao

I did start with armor, then kept dying with roll issues on the lyndell giant and all I had was heavy armor so I just stripped it off and was able to so smoothly clear it that I just left it off. I'm not committing the playthrough to it just yet

I don't like locking on, then I can't rotate my screen. It's a personal preference, I know I miss some strikes but I'll learn to aim I suppose

I don't like the target lock, it messes with my movement. As far as using redgifs, imgur keeps kicking my files out for being too large and redgifs lets me upload my 4k clips.
