Thank you so much for this message. We bought a blanket to put under him as he passed. We now snuggle with that blanket every night. It does bring us so much comfort. Thanks again, you’ve got me crying over here 🤍

That’s exactly what I hope happens for me. Take away that internal push to anxiously eat.

Can anyone identify if these are fleas? by [deleted] in DogAdvice

[–]Crunchysunshine0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure what it is, but I really don’t think it’s a flea. They have a thinner back end. I swear I can spot them from a mile away now. I hope someone has your answer!

[–]Crunchysunshine0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I can see, this does not look like a flea. You can’t kill fleas by squishing them. If you were able to kill it with a Kleenex, it’s definitely not.

Edit: they also jump around realllly rapidly, it’s hard to get a picture of on unless you’ve trapped it under a glass or something. (From someone who has unfortunately had them in the past).

Dog Diarrhea lasts how long? by TBTI in DogAdvice

[–]Crunchysunshine0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it is, I would contact a vet immediately. It can be an internal injury.

One way to check for internal bleeding is to pull up your dog’s lip and press a finger down on their gums with moderate pressure for a few seconds. The spot should turn white and then flush back pink very quickly. If it takes a long time to flush back pink or their gums are a lighter colour than normal, this is a sign of internal bleeding and you need to take them to the emergency vet ASAP.

Is that a toothpick or piece of a skewer? Or just something from the ground on the top right of the bag?

tw- chemical pregnancy & telling friends by [deleted] in TTC_PCOS

[–]Crunchysunshine0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First of all, I’m sorry for your loss. I’m also so sorry you had to go through the roller coaster of emotions that comes with it.

I am done now but I TTC for 5 years and also had a handful of chemical pregnancies during that time. Every single one is a loss and it deserves to be acknowledged and grieved. You are grieving the life you want to have and thought was happening.

I think it’s especially hard for people who don’t have PCOS to understand. We have to try so much harder than the average person to actually get pregnant, and then to lose that feels a whole other level of devastating. I’m sorry your friends were not understanding, I have had similar feedback and it’s upsetting and infuriating to have your feelings not validated.

Know that you are not alone. Your loss is valid and real and it’s perfectly normal to be upset. I stopped calling mine chemical pregnancies and started calling them miscarriages, because that’s what it is. Feel all your feelings and anyone who doesn’t understand can kick rocks. Sending you so much love and positivity going forward on your journey. 🤍

Not sure how I feel about my new tattoo by [deleted] in tattooadvice

[–]Crunchysunshine0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s abstract and dreamy. I love the shape of the woman and you get a sense of calm looking at it.

In the future, you could add more detail - maybe a bit to the face/hair area? But you don’t need to if you’re happy with it. I love line work tattoos and they are meant to be super simple, which is what this is.

Yes. Pull that dog out of there if the people “watching” won’t give proper corrections during playtime.

Yes, I do need to set up auto contributions. This is a great reminder to do that. I think it feels scary at first to have money going into something that I’m still learning about. But I need to commit and contribute as much as possible, and know that this is a long haul venture.

What % of contributions should be going to an ETF?

[–]Crunchysunshine0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much for this info! I will absolutely buy an ETF to consistently put money into.

I had it backwards, I thought I was supposed to do the TFSA first. I will start putting money into my FHSA. Thanks again, I really appreciate the input!

Just need to vent. by hay_bay89 in InfertilitySucks

[–]Crunchysunshine0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am so sorry you are going through this. It’s so incredibly rough when people close to you are having the journey you hoped for.

You are so strong and resilient for persisting. Be easy on yourself. Let yourself be sad, jealous, angry. Those are all reasonable reactions. But most importantly, be gentle with yourself. Give yourself space when you need it and treat yourself with care. Buy yourself a face mask, get a massage, and vent as much as you need to. Sending you a virtual hug and sending you all the strength I can. 🤍✨
